FileSonic Shut Down by the Feds. What is happening to all our favorite fileshare sites?? Now I'm hearing many of my affiliate file share partnerships such as uploading.com are suspended..can someone tell me what is going on? I thought SOPA and PIPA failed to pass Edit, whole fileshare industry getting cracked down on:
Even though SOPA and PIPA failed to pass, there were already laws on the books about copyright infringement. The government and copyright owners are simply using the existing laws to proceed against infringers. This is one of the biggst arguements used by those who are fighting SOPA and PIPA -- there are already existing laws to protect copyright owners and SOPA and PIPA are not needed.
Just curious: is it practically easier to make new laws instead of modify existing ones? That's one impression I got when SOPA and PIPA were originally pushed for. And OP, FileSonic isn't shut down like MegaUpload...yet.
No worries people...Its just consolidating on what works for the elites. It was all planned SOPA or No SOPA...they will come after you...Once, they have all the big money making sites in their arms..they will legalize it... No Worries just chill...File sharing for Pay will always be around ..it would just get a bit expensive..when the corporate mafia takes it over....same for torrent...torrent is a very big tool for indoctrination...they know 99% of humanity is poor and they can only feed us for free with their agenda... Don't ever forget..ALL ROADS LEADS TO ROME... I have a 20 bet running with my friends that, file sharing will never close hehehe
till now I loose my megaupload lifetime account filesonic account and fileserve all affiliate closed very bad and sad news for me at least
This really sucks for everyone, especially if you have an account like I did at Megaupload, I hope I don't get anything in the mail from the Feds.
SOPA and PIPA failed but they signed a worse one that was kept kinda quiet called ACTA (Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement)this one have to say is worse, original copyright act says you cant claim damages for breach of copyright but this new act that europe and US etc has signed up to says you can and looks like its this act there shutting down most websites through, ive seen even one site hosting mylittlepony images closed down in the last week lol, even astalavista.com is for sale and its been running for many years they know whats coming.
not anymore ;(i wouldnt touch any website atm with copyright images or anything they can pull you up for, ive seen one guy at court before for 1 copyright image and cost a fortune.i think when people see how many websites go down soon and how much its going to bankrupt them and with the ACTA its now illegal so will be a long spell in jail too.
Depends on the laws of where that site is hosted, maybe, and if that jurisdiction has any sort of agreement with another country elsewhere.
Someone will step up to take their place. No worries. Here you go. They've been trying to shut this one down for over a decade, and they'll never ever kill it. http://bayfiles.com/
pfft, they are all scaredy cats. Megaupload is just a prime example of someone getting targeted in an attempt to scare the rest off.
