Did you set timeout to 0? FTP works extremely well for me. I do also miss some of the features from sharingmatrix!

Yes I liked when didnt have to choose between pay per download or pay per sell.
Now have missed two sales. Because I use pay per download. What do you think should I change to pay per sale?

Depends on your average sale. If you tend to promote one month sales, the total is only $10.80. Thus you've earned more on dl plan.

Because I won't stand a chance having my files downloaded, when there are other users who will post the same file split into large parts of 1GB or 2GB. Especially considering that FileSonic is not that popular and has a bad reputation on the wrz scene...

Maybe you're a pr0n uploader, so you get people to buy accounts. Users looking for pr0n generaly don't take their time to search for mirrors of the video that they want. They usually just pay for premium immediately so that they can download and fap.
With wrz it's not the same case. Maybe FileSonic could make the two systems (pay per download and pay per sale) different, so that pay per download users could upload bigger files, while pay per share users could stick with the 400MB limit per file. That would be great for everyone.

That's how file hosters earn the respect and appreciation of the users, by offering good services for free and promissing better services for premium. Do you think uploaded.to can afford to pay 30 Euro per 1000 downloads if they don't make premium sales? They do make premium sales, because they know how to attract users.

I could ask you the same thing. Why don't you move to another host? Megashare and Keepfile pay 70% of premium sales. Maybe they'll suit your needs better.

If they impose these conditions, I'm sad to say that FileSonic will not stand a chance on the wrz scene, no matter how many banners they display on forums.
    This is why:

You obviously don't post around much, but only on your site, do you? Would you prefer to download something with 5 x 1 GB links or 50 x 100 MB links -> it's the same feeling for every other person. Currently, I would rather go premium on Megaupload and download their bigger links from them even if I could download them all as free user. If 80 people out of 100 post megaupload links I think I'll rather be premium there and have a better offer to download from.
FileServe will probably kick FileSonic's ass like this on the long term when it comes to wrz forums. And worse free user conditions are hardly helping out. Not saying that is the same when it comes to XXX content forums.

This why hosts do become popular - they've gained respect from the downloading community so they are posted MORE by them. If you are site is posted MORE and MORE, it will be becoming more and more successful.

Dude, SharingMatrix wasn't sold to others because it was successful. SharingMatrix wasn't redesigned into whole a new site because it was on a 'winning stroll'. What are you talking about? The new guys are trying to make things better, not "the same as before".
Oron.com will never become better than Fileserve, Megaupload or any other site alike. It does have it's pluses when it comes to money making, but it's just doesn't offer the features that would make him the best site in the world -> therefore it's not being spread around at all. FileServe is. There's like 1 million new Fileserve links per every Oron new link that is posted in the world. Yeah... not gonna happen.
And you are trying to tell Filesonic that they should become more like Oron.com?? Which part of "trying to become the best site in the world" you don't understand? 'Best' also means = most spread, most used by people. If YOU prefer Oron.com style than YOU should go and use their service and good luck, instead of changing this site into a 'better version of them'. As time goes by, Filesonic should only focus on future improvements, and not about "staying the same" or "becoming as good as Oron.com is".

But these conditions are simply what sharingmatrix had and they grew huge, so you're saying the world changed over night and now these conditions wont work at all? Give me a break, they worked great before, they will work great again, i'm not making a single sale now that the new free user bullshit is going, from making 120-130$ a week im making 40? wth.

I am going to look into keepfile, cause i don't like the way this is shaping up. IT's bad for me, i signed up for a system that was like sharingmatrix, i expected it to be like sharingmatrix, but over night that changed, i don't like that. I don't see how that's fair to all the users who signed up with the old system in place. I don't see how you can argue, if you didn't like these rules, why did you sign up for sharingmatrix in the first place? Or are you as new so you just signed up with filesonic? I doubt it.

Why can't filesonic let users enable their own limited options for their set of files then to please everyone if that's what they want, let me hit a button to limit my files, speed, and get the type of schema i want to sell premium accounts, and let users who don't care about premium accounts who simply just want people to download their stuff easily go with their schema. Technically this is possible, and it would be unique for this site, making it the best site in the world.

You could pretty much say that! The moment FileServe and FileSonic presented their new pay per download scheme is the moment that the "copper-to-platinum" schemes were washed down the toilet. Hotfile, FileFactory and alike are one era, both FS are a new era - much more fair to their users. You could think of that as 'changed over night' if you like. The old era is being washed away from forums -> you can see that wherever you go. People are Remote Uploading themselves away from it - if they can. You can no longer become better than new Filesonic or Fileserve with old Sharingmatrix file-hosting.

I hope FS doesn't fail, so we never again have to go back to the Hotfile alike services. Big scam for their affiliate users.

That would be very nice! In fact, I'd really like if I could use my accumulated acc money to buy a new server or something to be assigned under my account, or we could buy more free user traffic speed or something like that - so I can adjust that myself, and file limit and minutes limit. It's futuristic thinking :) - but it would be a true revolution. More freedom for the affiliates. The way I work - is the much I progress, otherwise I fail. Instead of depending on the site and blaming them for everything that happens.

I will try to talk to hish and hear what their future idea's are, cause i can't sell premium accounts like this, i don't know how people are selling accounts to people when they don't have to buy em, again i don't get that mentality.

Last night i tested to queue up 40 files from my own site as a free user on filesonic, when i woke up all files had been downloaded. I don't see how the hell i am suppose to be able to make premium sales when people don't need premium accounts to get stuff easily. Only a simple capache would make it better, that makes it impossible to just queue shit up without having to touch anything anytime.

Anyway, arguing here wont solve anything, i'll contact hish, see what their plans are, and if they continue in this route there's no future for me on filesonic.

Best of luck to you in your business!
