I cannot comment on other hosts, but at FileSonic we take DMCA requests very seriously. This is for everybody's interests, because a file host getting sued or shut down for infringement is no good for anyone.

Please don't ask us to break the law, because we won't.

 

@ Hish - the 400mb size limit for free users is not good , many users are posting single links nowadays ( check out warez-bb ) = they use fileserve & other filehosts that do not have size limit for free users.

I have a topic with over 200,000 views + get around 3000 views per day . I tried single filesonic links but most files were above 400mb so had to remove all FSC links .

I have all single fileserve links now + i got over 300 downloads per files in only 3 weeks

 

Hish, Kindly consider this option i upload daily 400 to 800 files through remote upload. For remote upload we have to use syntax means adding premium account 'http://username: password@' some time i forget to include in one of my links & its make me very tired to copy/paste the syntax throughout 400 to 800 links it's also time consuming. If you add premium username password option which save your Account and automatically use it as syntax for all links makes very easier to work.

Allowing users to RU more links means that there's a higher chance of one user slowing down all the others. We've seen cases in the past where certain users flood the RU system with slow links, making like very difficult for everyone else. I think that, overall, this cap is beneficial.

Thnx for sharing i am using Linux Mint so is there any setup for Linux.

 

It runs only on windows system, use software like "bootcamp" & run this software through it

 

Its ok to delete files when you receive a DCMA request but the issue is that you do it too easily, anyone can just send you a mail and request a file to be deleted, with other host they ask people to identify themselve as the copyright owner.

There is a lot of fake DCMA request made by some leechers, after they have RU your files they just report your files to take it down.
Of course you have to respect the law, but just make sure people wont abuse the report system

 

If you own the copyright to a file, we have a counter-notification procedure in place. Otherwise, if it's an infringing file, we will not break the law.

Since we are talking about bugs ...
In file manager - if I select a few files then click edit, the edit panel which gets displayed is missing the close button so it can't be cancelled easily. If I select just one file the close button is there as it should be.
Also Hish - could you mention to max for me that further testing has lead me to think the cookie problem is related to the advanced stats page, though I haven't tied it down to a specific cookie yet (I will).

use find and replace,

look for http:// then replace it with http://username:yourpassword@

we are not able to use usernameassword@http syntax for for remote upload from megaupload to filesonic right ? I always have to generate premium download link from megaupload and paste it one by one..

 

yep increase it to 1GB atleast 400mb it too low

 

my sales number was 0 last 2-3 days , but i posted only 400+ mb files today
and today i have 4 sales via 400+ mb files , people would not buy premium without 400+ mb files
so 400 mb limit is very useful for me
