Sure... glad to make filesonic fail because noone download from it anymore... yeeeah
it would be a worse move than the move rapidshare did in july..
They need to keep some balance between free/premium, pps/ppd to keep growing...
And overdo it in both ways will only damage them and us

 

yup ...plz increase free download limit to atleast 800 mb or 1 gb , its the way to compete with hf & fse in bigfile size section

400MB is too low.. this is not the Stone Age! it should be atleast 1GB if FS want to compete with other hosts. FYI duckload has 15GB limit!

if FS keeps such age old limits, it will only hold back from becoming more popular

 

I have a problem in my internet network. I have subscribed to 2 ISPs one is wireless (slow) and another is wired (high speed). When i download FS files from the wired isp some files get stuck at 75% or 60% or even at 40%, then i continue the downloading that file with wireless internet (there is no such problem in wireless isp). The same problem with some rapidshare files but RS files only gets stuck at 99.50% or 99.98%. I also complaint this issue to costumer service but they are not smart enough to find & slow this problem LOL.

 

more than 400mb = more filesonic links = more popular Thats my opinion.
Its like on others filehosts ect. fileserve, hotfile the max is obout 1gb for free user. Anyway some people still upload to hf/fs parts like 300/400mb, others full. Its always up to you, just like now filesonic links more than 400mb are not permitted on many boards/sites.

I know this would cause ruckus on forums because of a bunch of brainless guys who just can read the rules but is it possible to add an option which would allow premium users to choose whether or not free users can download a file?

I think this option should be at least available for those who own a website and request it.

This wouldn't just cause a ruckus, it would get filesonic banned at many forums. Moderators have enough to deal with. They won't screen each filesonic link separately to see whether it can be downloaded. Banning is easier.

i agree. it would only create more problems...

if people really want only premium users to download their files, they should upload in their own servers and ask users to pay to download the file. the purpose of filehost is to allow others to download files for free OR premium, not just premium. all those which dont allow free users to download are banned at majority, if not all, public forums
