Please whatever you guys do, prioritise like this:

1. Make sure the download/sales counting works, no pay, we leave instantly.
2. Fix the file management system ASAP, this is almost as urgent as above, without a working file management, this site is as good as dead in 1 week of time if it isn't fixed, cause right now i was attempting to upload files all day, out of 60 different files, i got 5 successfully up on your servers, the rest just magically went into cyberspace somehow.
3. Polish site, and make whatever other small changes you need to make, but the 1,2 needs to be fixed today/tomorrow.

Best of luck guys, can't say it's been a smooth launch, lol.

I agree that the hotfile file manager works technically fine but there are also several things I don't like about it.
- file stats are separated from the file manager
- no decent sorting in file manager; recent days are at the bottom; you always have to click on a date to see the files (=additional click).
The features of SM implemented by the rapidshare engineers would be excellent to me.

 

Yeah true, i don't care much about sorting and such, if file movement and creation of links works its all good for me, i just upload, put things on my sites, and move into folders letting me know that i've already used these files.

This new file manager reminds me a lot of the depositefiles manager and that thing never worked good, i really hope they reconsider using this ajax shit all the time, it looks fancy but it sucks.

I think that not a good idea to use your login and pass for account in FTP connect. It's not secure. As for me, I'm not using my home PC to upload files, I'm using some server. So please add some account generator for FTP, or something. Maybe user ID (digits), because I don't want to share my account login and pass. Thanks

 

Hi guys

We are currently working on the following:

1. Improving overall speed.. the site is still slow
2. Making sure all the older links and new links downloads are working fine
3. Stats for affiliates are updated and tracking properly

We will be working the file management right after.. note our system will be purely ajax and once complete will be far superior to anything you have seen

As far as running more test before launching .. it is difficult to test out everything .. we did as much as testing as we could but without enabling the site on all
traffic you can never get a real picture what is really happening

BTW.. the ftp upload should work much better now!

When you see a download link that exist and that cannot be downloaded can you pls send us a bur report with the link .. that would help us tremendously!

Yes, I know.
If you own a domain with a site containing SM/FS links, the site owner also gets a little part of the premium sales; he currently gets 0.41$ if a premium of 1 month is bought through a SM/FS link that was posted on his site. You only have to put a little tracking file on your site (if you have one).
It can be considered as a way to convince board owners not to ban SM/FS because board owners may gain money for every premium sale bought through a SM/FS link on their board.

I could not upload yesterday, I can not upload today. Do not reply to messages, but the answer in this topic. Today I have 0 downloads, last night did not counted. Two days lost. Too bad.

I do not understand you. Yes, if I close from filesonic, when I open the site, I have to login. Cookies not work or I do not know.

 

Yeah I keep getting logged out... Talk about an anti-climax for the unveiling of the best filesharing site in the world.. FileSonic is a big flop.

How much patience are uploaders/downloader suppose to have? Filesonic was billed as solving all the bugs but from what i've seen its riddled with bugs everywhere.

And where is the MSN support when its most needed?

Fileserve is looking like a slice of heaven right about now..... working stats, working downloads, working remote upload.... i backed the wrong horse

 

this is going to sound like a really weird question - but where can I see my balance? there is no "my account" page or similar...

 

I trust things will get solved, they have shown us that they ARE making changes and fixing the bugs so we should have some patience.

Downloads and download counts in our accounts should be done ASAP.
