Wow! Quite a few folk posting they've been hacked. Have you guys learned any lessons you can pass along to prevent this apart from the obvious steps of protecting your email and passwords? Thanks.

To FileSonic, I realize you sponsor JDownloader and the selling of premiums is probably part of you arrangement, but is there a way to treat JDownloader as a website owner (5% bonus) and still credit the link owner for the sale in the future? You may very well tell me there is a technical obstacle, but I have to ask, right?

If a complaint is received, the file is deleted without investigation. It would be too burdensome to expect FileSonic or any other filehost to validate copyrights for all such files. The DMCA groups are well aware of this fact and often take advantage of it to file false claims. The best you can do is to follow the advice given by FileSonic-Support and re-up the file.

So glad im not the only one who has alot of missing files today.... and no idea what files went missing to re-upload.

These files are not likely to be removed due to DMCA so as other have said this is a problem somewhere.

 

hi,

i made the mistake of having just one password for my affiliate accounts and that same password for forum sites... also made the mistake of using the same email add i was using for my affiliates as the one email add for registering in forums....
one bad admin could take have taken note of my account details and use it for his purposes...

it would be a good thing to have different password for different affiliate accounts and not have the same password for your email accounts....
another thing is always check your recovery settings of your email adds... i noticed in one of my email that the recovery add was not one of mine so even if i change my original password he can still access my account using that recovery email add...
also, check some free software from different reputable sites to check your PC for bad and malicious warez... (some nice programs to help are Ad-aware, Ccleaner, spybot search and destroy, malwarebytes anti-malware, etc...)

i lost my HF account and never got it back.. for Fsc i just lost some money but got the account back before the hacker was able to totally take over that account....

Please be patient. Every week we have people complaining about this... This is how it works. We click on the payout button to extract the info, then we have to filter out the fraud accounts. So it will show that you are paid, but you are not. We are aware of that. I hope everyone understands.

Most of warez forums have a Vip and Donator section,on many of this forums you can find Rapidshare,Hotfile,Filesonic ...etc premium account logins.
This new announcement is a good solution to prevent this problem.

I know Filesonic have a nice support team,so we do not need to fear.
