I used my premium account from 2 different locations: one with a static IP and another with a dynamic IP. I may assume that this is not a problem.

P.S. Is it just me, but the filemanager is extremely slow. It takes 30 seconds to navigate to another page, 20 seconds to open the edit link popup (to rename a file), etc. It even takes 25 seconds before a download starts (as premium user it should directly). And this is the case for both locations I access from.

Hello. Apart from those who share their accounts (which is not permitted) i`ll give u a fresh example of another case - my adsl modem restarted 2-3 times today by itself and every time i`m with different IP... my ISP is a big telco and has many different IP ranges assigned randomly to all customers.. some begin with 8... some with 9 all different dynamic IP ranges. Also some of the IP2Location services are pointing some of my IPs to UK, Belgium etc... which is not right. So, such cases should be verified not only by IPs but some other security system (cookies etc etc) before making any final decisions.

Guys, relax :). We know how to differentiate abusers from regular members. Almost every file host and membership site in the world does this type of check. I just wanted to issue a warning because I've been seeing a lot of this lately, and we're going to begin implementing a very obvious rule: you are not allowed to share your account or use it abusively.

Just two locations? Even though I upload and download from a single location, I travel a bit for work and have used by laptop to access my account from various locations. I even manually spoof my IP now and again to bypass certain blocks depending on the location I'm at.

I'll add my voice to those asking FileSonic to proceed with caution. Using a script to find possible violators is fine, but deletions should probably be made individually by a tech. If not, I would suspect there are going to be more than a few legitimate accounts closed.

I was pleased to see this response appear after sending my last post. Thanks for the clarification, Hish. I think folk were just worried any new script would be on autopilot as has been the case with some of the other recent scripts to prevent fraud.

You are 100% right... But don't worry, we will be taking care of this ourselves... No scripts... So mistakes shouldn't be done.

    Regards,
