If at the time of the deletion script you're a free user, then you will lose older files. But the script doesn't run instantaneously. You usually have a couple of days of grace before you lose the files.

A longer-term premium membership should do the trick, though. :)

    hi FileSonic-IT

statistics continue to be updated with a delay?
I ask because I wonder, why in the previous week, on the weekend, I had four times more sales than today and yesterday.

Okay, full clarification on the topic of the 30-day storage limit for free users:

1- If you're a free user, your files may be deleted 30 days from the date they were uploaded. If a specific file is popular, it might stay on for longer, but the official policy is deletion 30 days after the upload.
2- If you're a premium user, all your files will remain on our servers as long as you're a premium user. There's no time limit at all right now
3- If you go from free to premium, you will benefit from the same rule as #2 - i.e. as long as you're a premium user, none of your files will be deleted.
4- If you go from premium to free, your files may be deleted according to rule #1. However, the deletion is not instantaneous, so you will usually be forgiven if you forget to renew for a day or two.

This is the current policy (subject to change, of course).

    Thanks,
    FS-IT

    Dear all,
Is filesonic only file uploading and money earning file hosting service? I dont know why but all problems and messages here are all about uploading and money problems. Since many days very funny to say but premium users can not download any files and still no solution has been found. Any IT member of filesonic follow here? Will this problem be solved? Please inform every premium member here.

Download stats have been lagging a bit this weekend (there's about a 10% backlog). Sales stats are computing 100% correctly.

We are aware that there might be some minor issues with premium users, but the problem is extremely limited. Usually, people are using download managers that don't support us, or something funky is happening with their browsers and/or ISPs.

Do you have anyone who cannot download who we can talk to one-on-one to figure out the exact issue?

    Thanks

Well rapidleech is not a bad thing... It just allow to upload files directly in your account and download with your premium account... This is what an uploader need...

Now if you are running a "leech" site offering people to download for free with premium privilege using the Rapidleech script that's really bad idea....

Fileserve provide his own Rapidleech plugin on their threat :)

Fileserve provides the bundle (upload, premium and free users) plugins... Why I should be bad ? Premium users should be able to upload on their VPS/Dedicated server/Local server then do what they want with their files AS FAR AS THEY DON'T SHARE THEIR PREMIUM ACCOUNTS/PRIVILEGE what should result of BAN

You misunderstood me. There are plugins out there for various hosts that allow you to download as a premium user without having a premium account. You can obviously understand why we would oppose creating such a plugin. It used to be possible with our old download module, and that's one of the reasons why we changed it.

Of course I undersant! I don't want people we able to download my files with premium privileges without paying! If filesonic doesn't earn money uploaders will not receive any money too!!!

That's the difference with uploaders and cheaters... RapidLeech is a powerful tool for uploaders but it can also be a f**cking tool for cheaters

I have a filesonic premium subscription which i only use as a last resort if there are no other DL alternatives. this is because many of the files i try to download cannot download to completion, and when i stop the download in internet download manager and then restart, the program says that filesonic does not support resuming downloads. as an example, i was recently trying to download a 200 mb file in IDM that was broken into 8 parts of 25 MB. 7 parts got to 24.95, and then froze, and one part never got above 1 mb. for about fifteen minutes there was a limbo period of watching IDM send request with no response from filesonic, and then I just gave up. In the instances where i can completely download a file, average download speeds range from 25 KB/s to 300, with an average of 150, which is really slow considering with other hosters i get at least 700 KB up to a max of 1.3 MB/s. Considering this performance is with a premium subscription, I can understand why it must be hard to sell subscriptions to free users who must be suffering at what I can only imagine are even lower levels of service............

so this new module prevent premium users to even download as premium users, you prevent the cheaters to download as premium users and at the end creating problems for the premium users also. how many post of "can not download as premium user" were posted here, you can not tell the customers to use browser download if they spent money in buying the account.

you oppose in creating such plugin bec cheaters can use them to download as premium users then what are your programmers doing they should think of a code to prevent this.always think that there are a lot of people willing to pay as long as they get what they paid for.hire more contractual IT's and solve this problem and in the end more sales will be coming.

last night one of my referrals sold 1 account and after a few hours the sale was refunded. so you think this customer did not experienced any problem downloading. just provide a basic downloader and this problem will decrease.
