i'm not a paypal user cause they simply don't support my country, i was using epassporte but they screwed everyone and i can't now trust them even with thier so called safe wallet, i hope you can think of an other payement option, westernunion maybe..i know it charges alot but u can make for example a minimux payout for like 100$ or whatever you see suitable

1000$ is a lot trust me, some people might spend months to reach that amount, most of affiliates like adsense, loudmo, sharecach, ect...pay minimum of 100$ via westernunion, you don't want to keep 1000$ in your affiliate account regadless of how honest the company might seem to be, just have a look at epassport, people got loads of money locked in their virtual visa and the chances to get that money are very slim now as it seems

i agree with this and i don't think this should be counted as fraudulent activity... without a system to check if the links are alive or not, we are forced to try our own files first before publishing them... also, for me, i send my files to a lot of forums and groups and once in awhile a few would complain that they are having problems with downloading or with the video itself after they have downloaded it, so in order to check their problem, i download the video to advice them....so 3 or 4 files, im thinking would be ok...

Really I think this 'fraud' thing seems to be getting out of hand - I just don't believe that all these people it's happening to are actually fraudsters.
It appears to me that ...
    1) If you try your links to make sure they work - your a fraudster
    2) If someone who comes from one of your links uses a stolen credit card to buy premium - your a fraudster
    3) If too many premium buyers reverse the payment - your a fraudster
    4) If it looks like your doing 'a bit too well' - your a fraudster

Real answers / reasons / truth of the matter ...
    1) You have to - it would be foolish at best not to.
    2) How the hell can the poster of a file have any control over what the downloaders get up to - come on, get real !
    3) Perhaps they are reversing the payment because the service isn't as advertised ? Just a thought.
    4) Just plain ridiculous. Not even worth any further words.

Sorry to be a bit antaganistic, and I do understand that there will always be a few who will try to cheat the system, but this all a bit too much - a little 'fishy' ? It's sure got me worried about getting into bed with filesonic - more worried even than the technical problems.
Like nixon said - I Am Not A Crook ! (or was that nixon's head ? lol)

Concerning fraud prevention, our false-positive rate is under 2%. Out of hundreds of fraudulent accounts we flagged, we were mistaken a out a handful only. It's very simple: if your account has been mistakenly flagged, just contact us. There are many ways for a legitimate affiliate to prove to us that his/her account is not fraudulent.

Unfortunately, most people who contacted us and called us a 'scam' were just creating drama because they were indeed guilt. In fact, we had a couple who admitted to their fraud after they ran out of excuses.

I will not disclose our fraud detection algorithm for obvious reasons, but I can tell you that it's good enough to almost never miss.

Having said that, if you are part of the slim minority who is falsely flagged, please contact Hish and I can guarantee you that we will be mode than reasonable in reassessing your case. But don't expect get away with it just by calling us scammers.

This is exactly what I'm talking about. It's a clear example of simple information that any legitimate affiliate should be willing and able to provide.

    1. FS is not using this criteria alone to determine fraudulent activity. In fact, if you are premium and stay logged into your account, these downloads are not counted beyond one per day regardless. I will admit, I was a bit concerned when I saw this because I have been checking every link prior to posting of late with all the server trouble and have also been RU'ing every new file to another host so they are available should there be server problems. I spoke directly with FS and these activities are perfectly acceptable. If you look back you'll see the basis for Hish's post on that kicked this off was an affiliate downloading the same file over and over again. This is very different than the link checking or RU back up we discussed.

    2. Again, the threshold is not a single transaction or even a few transactions. It is multiple transactions and a pattern of transactions. When you post only on Vietnamese forums, haven't had a sale in six months and then suddenly "sell" (10) one year premium memberships from the United States across multiple files, don't you think that should raise some flags?

    3. Yet again, you are assuming the threshold is low and is simply that refunds are requested. Rather, FS differentiates between standard refunds (which you correctly assume do occur) and refunds processed due to stolen credit cards or paypal accounts. FS is concerned with the latter.

    4. You conjured this assumption out of thin air. What is your basis for accusing FS of such behavior?

You're seeing a lot of posts recently only because FS has not paid enough attention to fraud in the past. And, guess what? Not only did the cheaters know this, but took full advantage of it. Well, now they've started to crack down. I'm not saying it is impossible for an innocent affiliate to get caught in the net, but there are avenues available for them to make their case. Hish and FS, unlike most hosts, has proven their willingness to further investigate when effected affiliates cooperate - look back on the posts Hish has made asking these affiliates for further information concerning their activities. Any other host I've worked with would simply close the door on you, end of discussion.

Just remember folks, fraud threatens us all, FileSonic and affiliates alike. Our accounts are only as healthy as FileSonic itself is. Anything that threatens FileSonic's stability, threatens our stability.

Your account won't be shut down for downloading your own links a few times. But don't expect the points to actually count. Our system is smart enough to prevent an affiliate from cleaning us out by just clicking on his/her links. It's only common sense.

FYI: The stats yesterday did not move all that much after your post and did not continue to compile past the date change as has happened before when the compiler was running behind. If the stats were truly lagging, this seems odd. If on the other hand, they were not as behind as was assumed, I guess we have to just chalk it up to a slow day.
