I do not mean to dispute your claim, only trying yo provide some information. Just posting on a US based forum or website does not mean all of your downloads will come from the US. If the user is in Columbia or Burma, that is where the download will be credited, not the US.

Asked and answered multiple times within the past five or six pages of this thread.

yes it is true but i have more download from this files if i upload it to fileserve or turbobit and most of downloads come from sec A not D as filesonic
    total
if i upload one file to usa sites and forums with filesonic i get only 20 download and most of them from D sec
and if i upload same file to fileserve or turbobit i get 200-300 downloads and most of them from A sec which means more money than file sonic
in first i thank it from filesonic errors and download speed as download speed in file serve reach sometimes to 1 Mb/sec
but now i see that same visitors but little download from filesonic
i found yesterday that my friend says this notics with me in chat
especially about more download from sec D only
i can attach u pics of my notics

filesonic and fileserve is the best

    Guys,

Sorry for the abscence from the forum, but I've been very busy with working with my teams on getting everything back on track. Here's a quick update for you:

    - FTP: we put all of our focus on rebuilding a solid FTP system. The current system is much more stable and has worked all the time since we put it online. The only complaint I've heard is speed, but this doesn't reflect in our stats. We're pushing an average of over 1MB/s per user. However, I recognize that there might be high demand on FTP right now since it is the most reliable upload method. Expect things to get even faster when RU works. For now, we strongly urge you to use FTP as your primary method of upload. The feedback has been excellent to date.

    - RU: This is the next item on our list. We are approaching it like we did with FTP, which means that we can expect a similar success next week. RU is a little more complicated, but nothing that our new programming team can't handle. :)

    - Payouts: If you haven't been paid, it is for one of two reasons: your payment information was not accurate, or your account has been flagged by the anti-fraud department. Only a very very small portion of accounts are flagged that way, so if you believe it is a mistake, contact Hish and he will take it from there. Over the last 3 weeks, only a very tiny percentage of stopped payments turned out to be falsely flagged, and the owners were paid promptly. However, if you are indeed committing fraud, do not expect a payment. Rather, expect your account to be reported to the authorities. We take fraud very seriously; it doesn't only hurt us, but it also hurts the honest affiliates, who constitute the vast majority.

If there's anything else we can do for you, please let us know.

Let's all start uploading (by FTP for now :)) and make good money together!

    Thanks,
    FileSonic-IT

Are you connecting to ftp.filesonic.com? What error message are you getting? I currently see hundreds of users connected and uploading just fine.

Please provide a clearer description of the error.

Again, I'm not downplaying your concerns. FS will be in a better position to verify your stats than I will. You do, however, bring up an interesting aspect of mirroring files. By posting multiple links to the same file, you allow the downloader to choose the filehost he downloads from. What is to say more folk are not opting for FileServe or TurboBit rather than FS's stats being wrong? If you want to test this try dropping the mirrors on a couple new posts and look back a couple days later to see how downloads were impacted.

BTW: How are your sales? Have you taken a look to see if you would earn more PPS than PPD?

    Good luck.

I hope so, because personally I think that 1 MB/s is definitely too slow ;)

Just want to say thanks to Hish & Banjowood (do you actually play the banjo ? - I'm a guitar teacher lol) for the advice.
I think I will do as Banjowood suggests -ie try a couple of weeks on each plan and see how it goes. My files should show steady demand as they are not zero day or anything like that, so the comparison should be valid.
I have about a month to think about it as the site is taking ages to populate (I'm creating the files myself, not just re-posting old content). and I really hope filesonic is fully sorted by then - ru being the key for me as all my files are stored on my own server(obviously file availability is key too !).
I have been and will continue to follow this thread closely ;)

Hey, technuttie.....You sure are purty.....Now squeal like a PIG!

From your description I would expect PPD to be more profitable to begin. Sales would follow as you gained repeat visitors. Once you see sales exceeding downloads, the decision will make itself.

FS has made more progress in the past week than they did in the prior month and a half. I think they're pretty much out of the woods now. The system is as stable as I have seen it in the past six months. With a few tweaks, it should easily meet your expectations.

BTW: You have a purty mouth too.

FTP was only working at 42 KB/s and the file bombed. Maybe it's the whole weekend thing again.

Is there any way to add a link tester so we can test the links before we post?
