The new FTP was deployed a few minutes ago and it automatically transfers the file to the least used servers!

Have you guys messed with the download speed at all. I'm only getting 30kbs right now. Maybe it's just instability with all that is going on. I hope so.

 

FTP test:

Speed is ok (1.46 MB/s for me), files ar fast moved to FM. All is work properly

Just uploaded 1 file, about 134 MB, and it worked perfectly

 

I tried it with a file of 3Mb (because the upload speed is low where I'm now) and all went well (for me).
The file appeared in the file manager 30-40 seconds after the ftp upload finished.
I used ftp.filesonic.com but as written higher, I cannot say anything about the upload speed.

 

That's pretty good download speed. I'm only getting between 15kbs and 50kbs fluctuating but more on the low side. Not sure why. It was ok yesterday. It's not my connection since other hosts are 400kbs plus. I guess I'll just try again later on. I can't tell which server either since it's thru JDownloader. Good to know though. Thanks.

 

As far as FTP is concerned, I got some files to go thru this morning with no problem. It was fast and they all showed up in the file manager right afterward. I haven't tried with the new FTP though.

Is it possible to send me the name of the file you are downloading by PM ? Maybe I can find the link and tell which server it is..

Hish (or anyone else) can I ask a general computer question? Whenever I use ftp or web upload on filesonic or any other hosting site sometimes I have a lot of connection issues and get interrupted, which is why I prefer remote upload for the most part.

My connection never falters or wavers at any other time other than those when uploading. I know this is not a filesonic issue at all but I've asked other places and no one knows what my problem is.

 

Or is it a s98 server? Since there files can not be downloaded, or sometimes when I can, I have only 15kb/s.

 

I can't tell which server since it's on JDownloader. But right now it's only at 21kbs. Hish, I will PM you the link right now. Thanks.

Hish, I just pm'd you the link. The speed is now fluctuating between 15kbs and 200kbs. It's all over the place.

 

FTP issues could be caused by your router (especially Linksys) and/or a firewall. Web upload should not be affected as far as I know however. Could be host issues. None are perfect unfortunately.

 

FTP works fine for me! Full SPeed upload and Down!
And see the File immediately in the Manager!

 

just uploaded 2 files 270 and 300m MB via FTP and it worked just fine.
