I think captcha is wrong way of growing, why don't you want to understand, downloaders don't want to buy premium membership at all, THEY DON'T TRUST you, they hate your service, I'm getting a lot complaints to move my files from filesonic. As an affiliate I'm getting decreasing of my earnings. OK, I'll wait till the end of next week, If FTP upload will not work, and you will not remove captcha, I have to say Good Bye Sonic and move all my stuff to competitor, I'm losing patience and trust.

 

FTP work very well, so you do not have to wait to repair it. As for the captcha- is annoying for downloaders, prevents the use of any software to download files like jd and idm.

 

Those familiar with my posts know two things. First, I have been supportive on the whole of FS (some have even commented I must work for FS). Second, I have been highly critical of the technical progress (or lack of it) by FS during the past week and a half.

As to the latter, I think it can be agreed great progess has been made in the past couple days regarding stability. The servers for the most part have been online and downloads are once again possible. Compare this to the situation a week ago Monday and Tuesday. Yes, there plenty of issues with FTP and RU but there is not much point to uploading new content went even the old content is offline, is there? I'm not saying I'm pleased with not being able to add content, but I'll easily trade this ability for the knowledge that servers will remain up and running.

In regards to my support of FS, at the risk of once again being deemed "overly protective", let's not forget about what attracted us to FS in the first place. If you are only into file sharing for the sake of money, FileSonic is not the place to be right now. Yet if think about, there are always "bigger and better deals", are there not? I suspect those into file sharing for money only frequently jump on and off the FS cart to pursue those deals. The current troubles only provide these users with a self-justification for doing so.

clausfehde is right that are incomes are taking severe hits. Personally, I am off about 50% this week alone, not counting the drop I've seen the other six weeks. He has a point about sales as well. Renewals have been especially impacted. My stats show these at almost zero. Even so, what are the other reasons we've stuck to FS? Think of the personal attention. Sure, there are a couple posts every page accusing Hish of ignoring the poster, but how often do you find this level of participation by a hoster in a forum? Think of the reliability of payments. A few other hosters may equal FS's rock solid integrity of weekly ontime payments, but many more fall short of this commitment. The ease of use for free users as well as premium users. Sure captcha has added an obstacle for free users, but they also have a significant advantage in terms of low wait times and unlimited daily uploads which they cannot find at several other hosters. We can sit here and have the standard PPS vs PPD debate, but I think FS does a good job maintaining a balance between the two. Besides, the only way for FS to end this argument is to terminate one of the plans, immediately angering half the affiliates.

In short, we can either give FS some room to work here, especially with captcha or we can go to other hosts. The progress made on stability has eased many of the doubts I voiced last week. Personally, I probably would have held off on captcha, but what's done is done. I think we can give them the time and then come back to issues like captcha once the host is working at a level at least as good as we experienced in July. To keep sending IT in different directions is counterproductive.

 

Someone posted that when using captcha only one word needed to be spelt correctly, I've tried many times and both words need to be spelt correctly for it to work.

As freeuser in the UK filesonic is usually blocked but it's working right now and has done on and off a few times for the last week.

Regarding your previous post, we can't use AlertPay because they won't allow us... In their "Legal Terms', you can see that in "6.2. Activities Not Allowed".

Anyhow, I wanted to know that we took your and other affiliates' recommendation from a few days, which is : TOP PRIORITY is downloads.

The reason why I am not replying to every post is that I don't have the luxury of doing so, like I did in SM... In the SM post, I had time to reply to every post made But I am still positive and I know that very soon everything will be better and I can have more time to spend with you guys!
Btw, this does not mean that I don't read most of the posts...

Traffic of my site is increasing every day, but my earnings are decreasing every day .

Your captchas made me mad, I think you've choosen a wrong way. Any comments ???? Do you think I should proceed this way???

 

Although I think (3) days is to small a sample judge trends, just a couple observations before captcha is blamed. Just looking at 9-14 and 9-15 it would seem a greater percentage of your traffic the 15th was from smaller files and/or lower tier countries. The difference between 9-14 and 9-15 does not seem unusual in terms of traffic fluctuations from day to day. Do you never have fluctuations in downloads, especially mid-week?

 

Almost every day before I got 12$, from yesterday my stats began to decrease. This problem because of captcha. I'll make some tests, but I'm very disappointed.

 

Actually, AlertPay was not my suggestion, but I suspected this to be the situation.

And it undoubtedly shows the past couple days. I'll be the the first one to admit that any criticism I leveled last week in this regard has been well addressed by the IT staff this week. You guys deserve proper credit for this.

Which is what I meant to convey in my response. The example of the "ignore me" posts was not meant to imply you were truly ignoring people (even if some folk become frustrated from time to time and question whether or not "FS cares"), but to show your activity. To expect you guys to answer every post to prove involvement is unrealistic. It is apparent you do a good job of collectively answering several individual posts with similar questions.

FYI: yesterday was for me the best day of the week in spite of the captcha and although I partially use another host since a few days. The captcha may play a role but there are other reasons too. Example: yesterday I upped 2 files that are popular. Consequence: a high number of downloads in spite of the addition of a captcha.
As to 16-09 the day is only halfway; and I personally have most downloads in the second half of the day, particularly between 16 and 22h server time.
Show your stats again in a day of 2-3 and over a longer period! Then you might be able to draw some conclusions about the captcha (which I don't like either).

 

Remote Upload wasn't working yesterday, now it seems ok,
also I believe s98 still doesn't function properly.

 

any updates on RU or S98

 

i tried entering only one word correct and then spelled second word incorrectly in captcha it works for me

 

I think its time to fix remote upload.Direct links not working for me.I need to ru works instant,without delay...

From Saturday my sales stats it was frozen and I get one sale every midnight, when I receive and Referral commissions.

Please fix and show me a alive sales statistics in real time.
