Rather than fix all the problems you have, you enter the captcha. This is a slut. People still used Filesonic only because he had no captcha. By comparison the other you have a bad service. Now you have all the worst and no good thing! You do a favor to immediately remove all captcha.

    Hi guys,

Regarding the captcha, you only need to have one of the words correct...

    Regards,

Agree, I'm experiencing decreasing of my earnings today at pay per download plan. So, I'll test for some time these innovations and switch to another host, because:
    1) A lot of bugs
    2) Downloading problems
    3) Uploading problems
and so on and so on, and even now cutting my earnings. If so, I'll have to say good bye. My visitors are hate your hosting, but I'm still working with you.

Not working here either, did a test with a file this morning, uploading to both s80 and ftp.filesonic.com. Both uploads were successfully but neither has appeared in filemanager for 6+ hours.

Additionally, RU upload files are still pending and were queued at same time.

Wouldn't mind so much if all servers were online, but I am also having the download probs others have mentioned from dead servers. I'm sure captcha will help lesson the load, but could we please at least work on server stability? Thank you.

Captcha would not have a huge impact on your earnings if all were working well. Hotfile, MegaUpload, FileServe, etc. all use captcha, what of it? It is the offline servers that are driving your earnings down. I admit the timing of captcha could be seen as poor on FS's part, but if it were done to lessen server load and improve stability, who can object?

With this you risk dying before resolving the many problems you have!

Captchas make zero sense at this point in the game. Other hosts added captchas long after the site was up and running properly (first). Adding another complication and stumbling block to a host that is on life support at the moment is not good. For those who say this may help the server load etc.....if that is the problem than I would say FS needs additional servers. Duct tape won't fix everything.

Please get the host working first and please remove captchas for now. I've been as patient as anyone up to this point but you cannot be serious.....

It's fairly obvious the load is isn't related to capacity, but to programming limitations, isn't it? Just go back to yesterday. When folk reported problems with FTP they were urged to use s80. Then almost within a few hours FS is saying, don't use s80 (see posts #4333 and #4341). Or last week when the FTP was "new and built from the ground up" but then this week became the "old SM FTP" once it crashed. If the captcha buys the IT department enough time to gain control of the servers, then any loss of downloads due to captcha will be more than offset by added stability. I will grant you based on FS's track record over the past month and a half, this is a big "IF".

    Hi Banjowood,

good to see you back. All the tests we did here seemed to be working... It does take some time for the file to show, but it does at the end... Although many people here are saying that it is not fully functional... So we are looking into it.

Regarding the low earnings, it surely is due to the servers being down... Also working on that.

    Hish
