PPS not working for me. 3 days without sales. .

I always have at least 3 daily sales.

 

I am unable to download as a premium customer for the last 3 days.When i try to download the file as a free user it works.When i try to download signed in it wont download.Help!

 

Whenever you re-up a file that already exists on the host it is going to route to the original server. To avoid this you need to do one of two things. First, you can delete the original file from FS and then attempt a re-up. Or, you can alter the file slightly (ie. put a blank .txt file into the archive if the format allows) and then re-up. By doing this, you will be altering the MD5 and it will thus not be linked to the original file.

I cannot say I am bothering with either option at the moment. As it has been over a week now since any upload option - be it RU, FTP or web upload - has worked for me, I can only assume FS is telling me it no longer wants by business and I should move on to a competing host.

 

Whoa, ftp upload very fast now, 4 connection but no file in FTP storage nor filemanager, worst than yesterday (

FS keep advertising big time on forums about how great it is and how much it pays, etc. The only thing missing is that it doesn't even work. Something wrong with this picture. It seems they are spending more on advertising than they are on getting the site up and running. Something wrong with this picture.

 

like banjowood, i have stopped sharing with filesonic links for fear of being banned because it is giving me a bad reputation in groups and forums... i have a lot of complaints with users who bought premium accounts but are having problems... unfortunately, the problems seems to be just evolving and evolving... fix a problem here, another problem arises, fix that problem, the first problem is at it again.... i really wish that fsonic can fix most of the problem as soon as possible but i have serious doubts this will happen anytime time soon...

just a comment on weekends, i don't know about you guys but i assume that more people download during the weekends and so fsonic should put more effort during these times... if weekend downloaders experience problems then how can they be enticed to buy premium accounts?

 

If you can continue to bribe new users to move their files from reliable competing hosts you never have to improve your service to retain your existing users, do you? Why bother to stop the flood of users from FileSonic when you can just recruit new members like a pyramid scheme, eh? Unfortunately, they're going to find that new member pool drying up soon. They think the "best paying" moniker will attract folk in droves and inspire loyalty. It may well initially attract folk, but it is the stability - which seems to be a distant second priority with FS - which inspires loyalty. These new recruits will cash out quickly and move on to competing hosts.

 

Yeah I'm at the point where I test my links before I even post them, which leads to me not posting much over the last few days.

 

Unfortunately, that is not as good a plan as it sounds. I've been doing the same for some time and all my links were good when I posted them yesterday. Not sure I even got 12 hours out of them.

 

i already posted that they should concentrate on whats inside the server rather than focusing on ftp/ru which routed to dead servers and take server space. hundreds of thousands links were posted and this is enough to attract sales if the downloaders can download them

 

I recall agreeing with that and arguing for folks to give FS time to accomplish this. I should probably offer a public apology now to y'all for that second action.

 

there is no guarantee that it will work at the time of posting. it may suddenly goes offline the moment you posted them. thats how unreliable the system at filesonic.
i tested some splitted files of my own.... part 1 went smoothly...but part2 was offline ... and it took me the next day to download test it. whoa!

so do you think the would-be premium buyer would take the risk of getting premium? i doubt so ... because they know that the files will be on the other host the next day or two.

if filesonic dont wake up and fix their system ASAP ... sorry to say but they have to say goodbye to hosting industry ... because other servers were already way ahead. it will take another "change-name" to erase the bad reputation this filesonic brought to them.

i really want this filesonic to succeed... but i think the technical problem was too big for the them to resolve in short possible time. while they continue to go online and pretend everything under control ... the reputation is at stake.

 

I agree. They need to shut down and fix everything then come back under a totally different name with no mention of being affiliated with filesonic ever. The reputation on the forums is already in shambles and won't come back. There is endless bad mouthing like I've never seen before about a file host as well as people saying they totally ignore FS links. It's like a car company putting out a total lemon of a car with endless problems and asking people to buy it and drive it anyway and let them know what's wrong with it afterward. Nobody would be buying.

 

How'd they find the time to write those bullshit testomonials???
