Certainly the speeds up but still have a few 502's. Hopefully those will disappear. Unlike certain folks in politics. I stand by all good things come to those who wait. (or the mummy version Patience is a virtue.................................. not right now it isn't

 

502s on downloads? If that's the case, it should be fixed as soon as we deploy our new download engine (hopefully by tomorrow!)

 

I'm getting 300kb/sec for a free user O2_uk so it's not that bad.

At least it's working for the first time in weeks.

 

Hi, I paid for premium (1 month) on 22nd August. My premium has not been recognised since at least 6th September. I have emailed the premium@filesonic.com address twice with no response.

Guys,

We deployed the new FTP system on all our FTP servers! I believe that it will be faster and, most importantly, more stable!

Please stop using the test server (s8) and start using ftp.filesonic.com directly. Please provide me with some feedback if you can.

Remember a few things about the new FTP:

- The FTP does not provide you with a listing of current files/folders in your account; It simply provides a space that you can upload files to.

- After you upload a file, the file will be moved to the root of your file manager. Once moved to the File Manager, the files will be deleted from your FTP directory.

- If you upload folders/subfolders, the files they contain will be moved to your file manager, but the folder and subfolders will not.

-Make sure that your FTP client is in passive mode.

Hi! How much time necessary for the uploaded files to appear in the file manager?

10 minutes passed after I uploaded several files to ftp.filesonic.com using filezilla, size - 250 mb, they still didnt appear in my account.

 

Ok, Uploaded files appeared in the file manager, BUT the last two files are 3 times smaller from the original size.

 

how do you make the ftp speed faster?

im using 10mbs broadband connection ...but i can only managed 100kb/s with single file..

any settings to do in filezilla?

New FTP uploads very fast but it doesnt seem to appear still in my file manager

 

Oh well it didn't last long did it, it's back to the Download Error (7004) again free user O2_UK.

I uploaded two files by FTP and they seemed to go thru but the speed was only around 130kbs. I got 130kbs with just one file at a time and only 70kbs with two files simultaneously. Not fast IMHO. I thought it was supposed to be blazingly fast. How fast is it supposed to be? Is there as setting on filezilla that I'm missing maybe? I'm on 8mbs broadband btw.

Thanks very much to banjowood and sleepyhe4d for the FTP info. It seemed confusing but I got it working at least. I just hope it's not a waste of time after all.

 

Sorry to moan, but isn't that a bit silly ? I mean - if we upload some files in a folder surely it's because we wan't those files in that folder ? Why on earth would you double the workload for us by making us re-create the folder in the file manager, then move the files to the folder ? - that is going to be a total nightmare because I will only be able to upload a few files per session, then I'l have to go back to file manager to 'folder' them - if I upload too many files I won't know which folder they should be in and it'll just be a mess.

Really this is going to make life hard - isn't it possible to preserve folders via ftp upload ? If so then please PLEASE do it that way - thanks

FS is just integrating the new FTP module online today. While the features you're requesting to have installed are good, I suggest we allow some time to properly test the platform at full implementation before modifications unrelated to bugs are made. Stability is more important at this point. When the module makes it through the weekend without problems, we can begin to discuss frills.

 

Try to upload but files are stuck on ftp server does not transfer to filemanager,waited about 2 hours still nothing.
