Another question: I can only choose one or the other, right? That means PPD OR PPS, but not both, right? Any recommendation on which one to go with?

If you pay attention when you begin a web upload you will see which server is being used in the status section of your browser (Bottom left corner in FireFox..."Sending request to s.xx.filesonic.com...."). After you ul completes, however, a verification or MD5 file is created and FS is obviously not storing these on the same server consistently. Thus even though your file may be stored on server A, downloaders will need to access server B before they can download.

You cannot choose your server, but you can cancel the download when you see it going to a problem server like 76. You then re-start and hope to get a better server.

 

Correct, you cannot opt for both. As to choice it varies from person to person. Ask yourself, do you generate sales for the host you currently use? How many downloads do you generate per sale currently? Answer these questions and you can make a better decision.

 

Well, that's FSn staff job, not us mate . What happen if I have 100 files to upload, well pain in my ass .

 

And the same thing trying a second file. This time 250mb. Uploads to s62. Links to s90 which is offline. This is working?

 

banjowood, thanks a million as always. I will have to pay attention to the stats as they come up. Hopefully this will save me some time and aggravation. Lord knows we all deserve it right about now.

 

No argument from me. After more than a month we shouldn't need to find the ways around bugs which should have been fixed by FS long ago.

 

I uploaded to s30 and the download went to s90 which is kaput. Why does everything get funneled into dead servers?

 

Have to ask FS. I just tried to upload a couple files via RU to test this method. Guess where they went? s90 OFFLINE! That's it for me tonight. Back to competing file hosts.

I just don't see how filesonic can continue like this - people are complaining that they can't upload, but does that even matter if the downloads don't work ? It seems pretty obvious to me that their whole system is screwed - they don't answer emails

Is that some sort of joke ? It seems they only answer if it's out in public (basically here). Nothing works - nothing gets fixed.
I can only assume they just don't have the staff to cope with this.
I agree with some earlier posts - they need to shut the doors for a while so they can sort this mess out. I think if they don't, they will be shutting the doors forever very soon - good will only goes so far when money's involved.

Faster download connections to dead servers
Improved upload page complete with disappearing uploads
Losing time to remote upload files from many different sites not working
Every other filehost rejects remote uploads from bugsonic oops mean filesonic
Site overall is much better. Much better for rapidshare and hotfile!
Only the beginning of numerous features promised not to work
Need a refund because you purchased premium but cannot download?
