I just did a web upload and that upload used s60. So, I thought it is OK.
After the upload I tried to download that file myself (yes, what an amount of time we loose by using FS!) and I saw that the download was from s76. Thus: bad gateway and no download.
What is the purpose of uploading if nobody can download?! I get sick of this.

We are deploying something regarding RU later on ... And regarding web upload, I tried it 4 times using different servers and it worked.

Yeah, the server switch happens frequently. Noticed that myself where the file uploads to one server but than transfers to s76 in the completion phase. As it appears the host is to remain unusable for a couple days, one has to wonder if the time would be best spent simply shutting down the whole darn thing for that time. At least then, they would be able to give full attention to these "new and latest fixes" instead of splitting time between the "new and latest fixes" and putting out the latest fire.

Are you trying 1mb files or large files? I can attest that 250mb files are a waste of time via web upload.

Edit: Just tried a small file via web. Said it was connecting to s60 during upload but link tracks to s76 (http://www.filesonic.com/file/18914545/Eufrat_Czezh_banjowood.rar). There is no way I'm going to post a link to s76 anywhere as I guarantee it will be down again before the night is out.

Web uploads are still not working. S90 is down as well as s76. Banjowood is correct when he said s76 will be down before the night is up. An entire week lost on FS yet again. I wonder what the weekend will bring.

I agree with some other posters in that FS needs to shut down for a few days until it can actually work properly. The way things are going more forums are banning FS. Also its reputation and name are scaring downloaders off. Not good for any of us. When Toyota was having all those problems with car recalls last year they didn't just continue making the same cars while offering empty promises. They stopped production pretty much and tried to figure out the problem before moving on. Their reputation still suffered but not nearly as bad as it would have otherwise. Same principle but just on a much larger and more important scale of course.

Ive noticed alot of refunded sales also and to be honest i expect alot more to come.... i just cannot see an end to the troubles - everyday the same upload/download issues for me and the poor sods who try and download my files and pay for premium accounts.

it just feels like we're going round in circles!

Just tried it again.....and it worked if you want to call it that. Download began, telling me it was connecting to s44. Download completed and the link generated. But, guess what? The link was on s82 which is OFFLINE! Beginning to ask myself why I keep trying.

    Thanks.

Hey guys, I'm considering working with Filesonic as an affiliate and have a quick question if someone can clarify it:
Accordng to the PPD model, for everyone who downloads a 2MB file through my link in the US makes me $7, correct?
I provide resources to a lot of my subscribers all the time that range from 2mb to 300 MB (PDF and video tutorials). So, if I was to provide a PDF of mine to my subscribers, and 300 of them downloaded it, will I actually be paid $2100 for that single download?
Similarly if 200 people downloaded my 150MB video, will that net me $3200 in commissions?
Please clarify as this seems like TOO easy money to me...maybe I'm missing something?

How do you change servers on web uploads? How can you tell which server it is uploading to when uploading? I don't see any options for anything like rapidshare and other reliable hosts have.

Rates are per 1000 downloads and only the first dl from a premium user is counted per day. Thus, at least 1000 unique users from the US will need to dl the 2mb file for you to earn $7.00.
