As I suggested to you some time ago, DMCA groups use human agents as well as bots. As far as deletions, what can one say? That is the gamble taken when one posts copyrighted material (No judgment intended.....I am no saint myself). You can try passwords but those generally prove as effective as link protectors. A less attractive option is to make your posts less "searchable". Avoiding keywords likely to generate DMCA interest will cut down on hits to your site from internet searches but could protect your links for your loyal users. Only you can answer whether the trade-off is worth it.

Good point. In my defense, I tend to tune out a bit after the first couple lines when the ranting starts.

You're right. That IS all you needed, but instead of asking for it when you first found this guy had a problem you started with sarcasm.

Your job is provide a service, since that's what you're trying to sell. The funny thing is that in just a little bit of looking I've found that you've failed to an amazing degree to provide that service. Message boards that are just two months old with over 100 pages of people telling the same two things over and over, that your service doesn't work and that you ignore your clients/customers when they try to contact you. And it isn't the same people repeating themselves. People are getting on, posting their complaint, sticking around for a short while and then leaving for good. Multiple boards with over 100 pages of the same two complaints with only a couple of users including 2 mods with more than 3 to five posts in the thread.

With the number of customers/clients that you've failed, you not only don't know what "blackmail" means, you also don't know what "worked most users!" means (hint--'worked' is not synonymous with 'failed,' and 'most' is not synonymous with 'some'). And not just because of the poor grammar.

Think yourself lucky - i didnt get any of the july bonus although i tried to claim all of it!!!!! Also i thought when i tried it the other day that filesonic had actually got the remote upload working rather well.....today again it is back to waiting for hours for anything to happen. If you are using epassporte to get your payments then you may be even more fortunite since they are now screwed and you can't get your money out. So if you get any bonus now that was owed from july make sure not to send it to epassporte.

Thing is though, I was able to download from FileSonic as a free user, albeit with kind of slow speeds and a lot of limitations. Its when I joined premium that I started getting Download error 7007 every time. Fishy, no?

Although FS does not do so, I have belonged to hosts which actually send you the letter requesting deletion when they notify you of the deletion. While I have often noticed false claims of copyright because a certain "keyword" was returned, all I have seen contain enough pertinent info to suggest at least the form letter originated from an official source.

That said, official report or false report, FS has little choice but to delete the files when receiving any report. The liability and attention for not taking action are too great.

No, it's not fishy. Unfortunately, the timing was simply bad. You'll have the same problems as free user. It is your ISP, not FS.

Well, to put a resolution to this, Hish sent me a refund just now so all is well and good in my miserable existence now. Thanks guys for solving my problem and tolerating my impatience and juvenile rage. I no longer need to post here ever again, and as of now I no longer have any beef against filesonic. They're good folks in my book now even if I can't download anything from their site, good luck to all and I hope the service improves in the future so all can download from there. The refund made all the difference to me and, pathetic as it sounds, made my day. Yes, a $9 refund made my day, thats how much of a loser I am, lol. Anyway thanks everyone!

Without justifying the technical shortcomings of the past month, doesn't the mere presence of your discussion here with Hish contradict the claim "you ignore your clients/customers when they try to contact you"?

Over 100 pages in threads of people with problems, problems which include "you ignore your clients/customers when they try to contact you."

You'd like to make the argument that one instance of a board moderator being present contradicts that point. A moderator who responded to a complaint by attacking the complainant.

I'd say it not only miserably fails to contradict the claim--a claim which isn't mine, but those people who filled over 100 BB pages, over 2000 posts in just over 2 months.

    It PROVES the point.
