    1. Be sure to submit a bug report. The IT guys have been great in participating in the forum here but a forum post can still be missed while a bug report receives top priority.
    2. It is easy to determine if the problem is with FS or with your ISP. Try the webpages generating the error via proxy (ie. https://www.vtunnel.com/). I suspect you will change your mind as to your ISP's blame, but will readily eat my words should such a test prove otherwise.

Sorry to say this but....it is your ISP....I'm with Be (part of O2) and have exactly the same problem.
Give the filesonic guys here a PM and they will put you in touch with a tech who will try to sort you out a workaround.
I'm going to try to sort it out with Be but am not holding out too much hope as somebody who had a similar problem with another filehost a while back got the reply "well you can always change ISP"!

Looks like I may have to move ISP 'cos this problem is going to occur with other sites on a random basis if Be / O2 don't sort out there network proxies.
Recently it has been affecting more sites on an increasingly regular basis...even a .gov site was rendered unreachable!

If the Filesonic guys manage to sort out a working fix I,m sure they'll deploy it across their servers but then I just have to wait to see which is the next site to become blocked.

If there's a user forum for O2 take a look on there to see if there are any posts about this sort of thing..I know there are on the Be forum.

As an afterthought...any users on here got any recomendations for ISPs in the UK - must be completely unlimited download amounts (none of this fair use policy applies stuff).

I agree with everything banjowood has said. I upload and download from filesonic so I can give both perspectives. Filesonic makes the majority of its money selling premium accounts right; so shouldn't profit maximization be important? I've found that lately I can cue up loads of filesonic links and have them download in the background without me having to do a thing (using a certain program). Download speeds are great too! Anybody with enough intelligence can make filesonic work as good as premium without having an account.

Captchas are a possible solution. The captcha system megaupload uses is good.

I'm not sure what the waiting times are now because I just cue up my files but I think 30s to 1min is reasonable for the first download. 5 to 10 min for the next and then 30 for each of the following.

A speed limit of 100kb/s for free files is more than reasonable and obviously parallel downloads shouldn't be allowed.

It's good that uploaders can choose which of their files are premium but filesonic should make it clear to downloaders that the uploader has chosen for the file to be premium only. However, the ability to do this may not be allowed at most forums therefore reinstating the 400mb limit (or maybe bumping it up to 1GB) might be better.

My ideas may annoy some of you (you're probably on the pay per download plan!), but they're logical and will definitely boost premium sales. Filesonic is the best paying filehost afterall! If you want your downloaders to leech off of you, go use mediafire!

Thanks to filesonic for getting FTP up and running. Worked very well for me before, hope it stays that way! Looking forward to seeing full download statistics for my files soon.

Not sure if there is a load problem now that it has become known FTP was upgraded early Sat. or not, but FTP has gone tits up here. Over last couple hours success rate is absolutely 0%. Uploads complete without error in FileZilla but never transfer to the file manager. Will give another go in the AM.

Edit: RU and web upload also seem to have gone tits up. Success no better than 50% with either method.

Absolutely ridiculous. Both FTP and browser uploads are not working. FTP can't connect, web upload freezes with no explanation. Many servers are not working or are working very slowly.
Remote upload works, but when I share my files I get no downloads, either because the stats are frozen or because users simply can't download.
Well, I assume you won't do anything about it today, cause it's Sunday...
I'm close to losing all hope in Filesonic... :-(

I think that "captcha and download speed limit for free users" they must do AFTER resolve all bugs!
With PAY PER SALE tariff - it's FIRST AND BIG BUG! Or it's special?
