    unlike megaupload filesonic doesn't host in the US, so... more safe but well... filesonic listen to DMCA better than megaupload, and megaupload hosted a lot more illegal files

    Yes, the number you will see in your stats is number of transactions - when you click on it you will see a detailed list of those transactions and if they have a "-" next to the number, that will be a refund. You will see the sale that happened and then the refund for that sale.

    Filesonic also have servers in US.Watch this youtube video.A guy was prisoned for just linking to a copyright material.If this law passes we guys are not even save,So what can you expect about filehost.Even the webs like facebook,wiki,youtube,yahoo,google are in danger.

    At the end of the day filesonic is (or has) a .com domain - sooner or later it will get seized as the US has control over all .com domain names, but that doesn't have to mean the end of filesonic. I am just in the middle of swapping out my .com for a .org (my personal website) which should make it more difficult to take down (it's on an off shore anonymous server). Although what I do is not really much of a concern to the authorities I can see which way the wind is blowing, and I'm not waiting around for the inevitable.

    If they start arresting people for this they need to first close all big search engines like Google, Yahoo etc as they are the main copyrighted material linking site.
