    Hi, can somebody explain what is the reason for putting the banner with _someone's_premium_referal_link_ on the downloading page. Now almost every downloading page has this banner which leads exactly to the same premium refferal link: premium-ref/18902201, therefore if this banner has been clicked the sale goes not to the person who uploaded the file, but to someone under this link premium-ref/18902201, besides I do not see the point of promoting premium banner on the downloading page, which has all nessesary info and links for buying premium membership itself. So don't you think guys that this is unfair to the affiliates to take away theirs sales in such way?

    This is a default ad that the advertiser is putting. We are testing it, till now ( over 2 days) and the banner got 0 sales. This is a way of advertising the Premium benefits.

    If it turns out that it is taking away from your sales, we will either credit affiliates or remove the banner.

    But if we remove it now, when a default impression comes up , it will be blank and will look ugly.

    You must know that we always have our partners' best interest in mind!

    Thanks for the answer, sounds reasonable, but why did you put a premium-ref/18902201 link on the banner instead of, say, reffering to a common page http://www.filesonic.com/premium ?
    As I understand such link "premium-ref" overwrites sale cookies of previous link owner so that the sale goes to the owner of premium-ref. If this happens how would you know who was the previous link owner to credit him for the sale which was originally initiated by the link to his file?

    The premium banner ad is in the download page itself and there are lots of premium buttons too in that page so its unlikely that anyone will click that banner.

    Putting reseller banners with discounted price might affect sales but regular banners might not snatch your sales.

    In the last 2 days,50% less than the average.Mostly its happen on days,when the ftp or remote is down,but i think this time the problem is the following.

    Anyway,its not a good idea.Nobody want a foreign banner on his download page,if the banner lead to any other site than its not a problem,but a foreign premium reflink is a big problem....Its the biggest banner on the download page,and this will affecting the numbers of sales.Its 100%,coz its allready affected.Anyone got less sales in a last 2 days....

    btw...
    How much is the price of banner advertising? I wanna advertise my premium reflink :p
    and do you have targeted banner advertising? i want my banner only on 3 users download page Netcat,Jimbo-53,ShinAkuma ,do its possible? :p

    Since its a test, this is the only way we can track if there were sales... Now 3 days have gone without sales...

    It is clear where it says " Join Now " "Paypal" "Credit Card" etc... So really, no one will click on the banner to buy
