yes you are 100% right. Me too in free account and my files are downloaded lots of time daily , even though those files are deleted. Its not at all fair. Filesonic should take some action or we have to switch our filehost. Very sad.

 

If you are looking to switch filehosts. Check out my signature, I never had troubles with them. And no captchas, which may please your users.

@all why you guys not understanding , Filesonic is paying a lot of money for servers, management , stuff, advertisement, promo and many more ..

whats the problem to spend 5$ per month to extending your account while they are trying to best for downloaders and uploaders both.

I would recommend to all uploader to get a premium and keep their files alive..

Just to jump in on this......

For about 6 - 8 weeks now the download speeds available to me as a premium user have been 20 - 50kbps as opposed to previously in the region of 700kbps.

As a free user on other hosts my speeds are around the 300kbps mark or higher depending on the host.

The exceptions to this seem to be between midnight to 6am UK time when speeds return to normal.

This compounded with the fact that any interrupted downloads using a browser are not resumable (they are when using jdownloader).

You may make a wild guess as to how I am downloading files these days....not very often with Filesonic.

Wupload is not available to me as it's blocked.

Whilst I would love to discuss this back and forth with everybody or sit at my computer Im ing with one of the tech guys trying to identify the problem, I simply don't have the time to do so.

I'm basically posting so that everybody becomes aware of the situation and it may go someway to explain falling sales / referals etc.

As few final thoughts...

It happens on all files, it's not confined to particular servers, my ISP is Be (part of O2) and they have assured people on their forums that no traffic shaping is being used.

Although filesonic is being monitored by the IWF it's download servers (at the moment) are not.

The problem seems to have coincided with the rise in popularity of wUpload, I'm unsure if they are run by the same people who operate filesonic or just if they share the same datacentre (as mentioned earlier in this thread by somebody), could there be a connection??

Please try to fix this.

 

Always use Internet download manager (IDM) for downloading from filesonic, wupload etc as it gives the maximum speed with resume capability.

 

^^yes but u can't directly use idm or save the site logins in IDM. you need to login in browser right?

 

In latest IDM no need to get links from browser, IDM will automatically find out the direct link & file names from normal filesonic download link. This work for filesonic not wupload. In wupload browser needed to initiate downloads.

Acordding to the site, my payment was made a few hours ago, but no email and no money in the pay pal account yet.

All my email, account and paypal details are correct.

Just a simple doubt from a person that is new to these things. All my doubts are caused by my Filesonic inexperience, and that's why this thread exists.

Guys, the payment will be paid automatically on every Tuesday?
We don't have to click any buttons for the payout?
Usually when will we get paid to PayPal once the payment is sent from the FileSonic site? Instantly or need couple of hours/ days?

Its ok Hish. I fixed it myself and upgraded to premium.
