Fileserve cut your downloads and earnings by half !

Filesonic has had so many problems recently and I tested Fileserve. Before that i had used hotfiles.
I mostly use forums to promote my files and i realized that ratio between topic views and downloads is really bad with fileserve. I uploaded some files and i got only few downloads, but my topics on forums generated hundreds of views. Few days ago i moved those files to Filesonic and i changed links to my files. Right now i am getting more downloads from old topics with filesonic than i used to get with new topics and fileserve. Plus, filesonic pays me more. I am not sure that they cut my downloads. It is possible that people don't like to use fileserve.

 

I think FileServe do not cut your earnings! why you get much lower earning than Hotfile. here is might be the fact:

let say you get 1000 dls everyday, you will earn:
in Hotfile = $15 (on platinum status)
and
in Fileserve = $25, BUT take note there your files must be between 450-2048 MB and all downloads must come from Group A countries (United States, United Kingdom, Canada).

so, you see why there is difference for your earning.
Hotfile = HAS Ranking system, but NO Country Group
Fileserve = NO Ranking system, but HAS Country Group

eg: You upload a file sized 150 MB;
One Russian download for Hotfile is counted as $0.015 when you're on platinum, while you will get $0.01 for Fileserve.

so it depends on your file sized as well for Fileserve. the bigger it is, the bigger you will earn.

 

No, since i doubt that a fileserve employee would say anything bad about filesonic

I'm just somebody that has been screwed by filesonic.

 

it's not about lower earning. It's about count downloads... Fileserver do not count all downloads.. & filesonic service is very bad. Hotfile problem is ranking system..

 

I must admit that, fileserve and filesonic both cut number of downloads. They both have almost similar rates.

My experience with both fileserve and filesonic/SM is same. What i feel is these hosts tell that they count downloads from Indian and Asian countries, when they actually do not. Even if they do, they give very very less, which is almost negligible.

But again its fair enough, to maintain their profits which do not come much from India and other Asian countries.

Uploaders do not have much options, use it or leave it.

 

I think you dont know what is this topic for.

We all know that Fileserve rates are higher ... but this topic is about "shaving" your downloads so they dont pay you more...although the earnings were calculated based on the so-called higher rates.

For those who think Fileserve is honest and fair ... go ahead and continue ... and enjoy getting 20usd++ per day. But i tell you, you should be getting more because of the shaving script.

Anyone noticed the pattern of stats not counting during the weekdays ... this is always "ON" every week ... and ask yourself WHY?

Goodluck ... But i still think you deserve better ... and ask Fileserve to stop that SHAVING script in their server.

 

Since there is no real proof (3 people saying fileserve shaves doesn't make it so) i don't realy see your point.

 

Let's talk turkey there. No, and I repeat for the slower ones that there nooooo filehoster is gonna pay for every download. But I'm neither payed by them nor in the mood to do their job and explain it :-P. Fact is if you upload something chances are there are 100000000 others that uploaded it too and if the download is to slow guess what they take their biz some place else.

 

Im also tested it im uploaded files in one filehosting for few days. Then i uploaded files from same popularity but counted downloads on fileserve was twice lower! Strange! Also thoose another filehosting have much lower speeds and time waiting. Maybe FileServe just have more premium so your downloads are counted less! Because another filehosting was new with same rates. Also my earnings was twice higher then in fileserve. How it can be? Fileserve offers 400kb/s speed for free users. So downloads much be more than from filehosting that offer 50kb/s speed for free.

 

Hey, RickyFS says they only have about 1%+ premium users.
So premium users should not be the reason why your downloads are twice lower than an honest filehost.

 

i uploaded some files via ftp.
its now showing 5 copies of each in the web panel.

what is wrong ?/

 

I heard many times people get error when they are downloading a file.. that could be the reason.. they will either download it again or just give up

Why? problo is a moron and crazyt is a leecher and forum spammer (i for one am glad hes not making good money), you how ever i can not place, every post is nagging about moneybookers (They don't go in buisness with filehosts so none will payout in moneybookers only starting hosts till they get banned from using it) or saying a host is 1. a scam 2. a bug 3. is shaving

 

I had the same problem ( Not all downloads counted ) : that's why I left fileserve ....

 

my whole point all so called people say fileserve is shaving are all from filesonic

just sad a crappy non paying host sends his members to say bad things about a working paying host

So what do you want these non paying file sonic scamming bastards or a paying host like fileserve?

 

with multiple files, downloaders tend to download the smaller size parts first before they start downloading the bigger ones... also, with fileserve links, i have receive emails where files do not finished downloads especially in lower speed areas, so another reason... why not try another experiment... place the smaller size part in fileserve and the larger one in another host and let's see what happens... as for me, i earn about what i expect since i just use fileserve as mirror for my HF files...

still waiting for filesonic to get their act together....

 

you know when i sent my first support ticket i thought just a small problem they could fix after 4 tickets and being ignored in their support thread i just see this 18$ totaly lost and would never talk about it till i saw only filesonic people replying here......
but i saw the same in hotfile when they started last year but i did my own test people don't care on 1 of my files shared in the same forum i got 65 fileserve downloads and 30 hotfile downloads till now....i think it depence on how people feel about the uploader and like someone else said in the real fileserve thread you'll have to wait a year till you can make a good judgment how fileserve will be....

 

If this is the reason why downloads are lower , then it's much worse than shave earnings.
When someone always get error when trying to download, he will eventually ignore my post and lower my reputation

 

NO NO NO
For me filesonic is much worse, my downloaders can only get no more than 10KB/S from filesonic.

The topic is about why the downloads is much less than they should be.
If it's of shaving script, then hope they will stop ,
If it's of technique problem, then hope they will fix it .
