I downloaded two 200MB files and saw that there was no time interval between downloads for Free users, only 30 seconds !!!

So no one will buy a premium account

Would like to add some update on this question:

At the moment such low limitation allows our partners earn much more from downloads than it is possible with other hostings. Lots of partners are working with PPD program now, and they are contented with this setting. It really can be considered as a promo for the users. Sure, we will make the changes later to make sure partners get sales as well.

We plan to make this setting flexible and give partners opportunity to set up this limitation themselves.

That would be a long post still I would like to sum up the results of the first week of FilePost.com work. Would like to stress some changes that already have been done and the questions we are working on at the moment, so you could know where we are moving and what our priorities are. First of all, I would like to thank all uploaders who registered with us and who discuss the hosting in this thread.

First of all, more than a thousand uploaders have already registered at the service, and more than 10TB of files have been uploaded. In general the system stands the load well, still there is necessity for further development. We have implemented lots of minor adjustments at the service for the latest week - they are not worth mentioning in particular - still all they in general make working experience with FilePost more convenient. We are going to add much more features and make the service more attractive for partners and users.

We pay great attention to all advice and suggestions reported by our service users and partners and try to react to them appropriately. For example, in response to multiple requests, we have moved Poland to C group. Also, as we can see, the most part of partners are not satisfied with 400MB size limit for free download, thus we plan to implement a flexible setting that would allow partners to control this limitation themselves. What is more, we are going to implement more flexible marketing partner settings - regarding limitations about downloads and payment options. These options will allow partners to influence their revenue more efficiently. The implementation will take some time though.

We are also glad to see that the most our users are satisfied with download and upload speeds, both for free and premium user types. We expect a significant increase of traffic within the next month, and we are already working to make the system support this high load. Set up of new servers is planned for the very beginning of August, including servers in Netherlands, what would increase upload speed for Europeans. Along with that we will increase maximum file size for upload, as well as will continue adding new file hostings for remote upload.

We processed the first payouts on Monday, since then we have sent dozens of payouts, and we are glad to notice that lots of users received amounts that are higher than minimum payout sum. Some of our partners already work with PPS program and face a high ratio of sales to downloads. Just to remind, any partner can get a PPS plan from the beginning - contact our support service for the details. Also, once a first payout is processed, a partner can set up a custom payout schedule.

At the moment we are working on the following questions:

- Cooperation with large forums and blogs where users share files. We ask you to send us URLs of sites and forums where you would like to post FilePost links;
- Translation of FilePost.com into other languages - we plan to add more than ten languages;
- Exclusive solution for professional uploaders regarding the content;
- Reseller program - we are ready to review reseller applications;
- Automation of premium user support.

Referal stats on dashboard are wrong, I have only earnt around $2 from referals today so far.

Checked once your free user speed and it was between 400-500 kb/s. Very good if you want to attract workers and downloaders. 400 kb/s should be good enough IMO, since sites like FSv and FSc sometimes don't deliver even close as much for free.

This is sure good thinking. Hope you become present everywhere soon.

The 1 GB limit will help many people since they have read-to-go files on other host services which are bigger than 400 MB and this way they can switch and start sharing ALL of their stuff immediately not just a part of them.

Do add a lot of upload servers - cause it will be heavily needed as time goes on. i.e. files being queued endlessly in RU is very unattractive for any new person who wants to earn with you. It's good to always have an eye for possible uploading avalanches that could happen, might slow down everything else and that wouldn't be good

Hm, you raised an interesting point. To my mind, even 600 seconds (10 minutes) of waiting are enough to drive sales already...

Still, short waiting period is sure a good thing to make the hosting popular from the beginning.

Yes, at the moment automatic verification via meta information is not implemented, thus just contact me or our support team, we will ask you to add some specific meta tag, will check it then and will approve the blog manually. Thanks.

Your revenue from referrals is updated in real-time, there may be 5-10 minute delay. As for the partner you mean - that is his total revenue for several days. So while it grows, your revenue should be increased also.
