Not good enough. Its now been 48 hours and the Russian Pirate in question has sped up the copyright infringement. In that time you have visited this forum 4 times to reply to useless posts. This is being noted and will be recorded in any writ your company receives because of your complete abandonment of this issue. This is costing us THOUSANDS of pounds each hour this is being ignored.

 

I'm also going to make sure everyone knows about this. This is all being noted by my solicitor, CCBIll and IC3 (ic3.gov/complaint/default.aspx - Internet Crimes).

 

First of all, the information about 48 hours is not true, sorry. We address all copyright infringements within several hours (and you can see that yourself - all your DMCA requests are processed within several hours). The only question that was opened for a longer period ( still less than 48 hours) is a question about the access to the special tool - it may take longer to grant such access. Anyway, you should have received the access to the tool - please check your e-mail.

 

I'm on the pay per download earning scheme for a while now ... I haven't got any sales for some time.
When we are on the PPD program do we get to see if a sale happened or not? I mean, do I only see sales happen if I'm on the PPS program?

 

Yes, you will see information about sales when you are on PPD plan and vice versa.

 

Have you limited no of downloads made from same IP today onwards? I noticed a nearly half download count when compared to yesterday.

No, we did not make any limitations - still yes, we can see that yesterday the number of downloads was less than usual, may be that was such a day. We did not receive complaints about downloads or problems, and nothing was changed, so not sure about the reason of that.

Some question:
When you delete the file for free user? 30 days?
If someone rebill his account on my site, will it count to the Domain Sales?
For example: someone buy a one month premiun on my site, than after few days, he rebill a one year premiun, will I get a 5-15% domain sales?

Yes, inactive files are removed in 30 days after the latest download in free accounts.

The situation about rebills you have described is not correct. Only 5-day, 1- and 3-month premium accounts have automatic rebilling option. 5-day accounts are prolongated for 1 month, 1-month accounts - for one more month, 3-month accounts - for 3 months accordingly. 1-month account can not be prolongated for a year account, this year account will be purchased separately most likely.

Marketing Settings Section

Today we are glad to announce a new section that allows to set up multiple marketing settings for a partner (‘Marketing Settings’ area is located in ‘Edit Account’ section). These settings allow to increase work efficiency and revenue of our successful partners - by adjusting parameters for free downloads. Let us note that at the moment these settings are available for the partners who work with revenue share plan only.

We totally realize that some of these settings may conflict with the largest forums’ rules, that is why by default the settings work only for the files distributed at the verified sites from Websites list (within the program for site owners). Thus these settings work only for the files that have a verified site as a referrer.

Nevertheless, we are ready to activate the marketing settings for all account files regardless of a referrer - for that it is required to send us a request containing a list of your traffic sources (we may not see them in your account stats for some reason). If that is not enough, and if you would like to enable settings for some files from your account only,, we allow to create a separate account for this purpose (we are ready to assist with copying the files into a new account). Thus, one account may have files with default rules once another one may have tougher restrictions.

The settings are really clear, however we would like to list and describe them here a bit:

1. ‘Premium Only’ - the most demanded feature - makes a file available for download only with a premium account. An option ‘Set for selected files’ allows to activate this option for the chosen in File Manager files only - there will be a special button for that.

2. ‘Maximum File Size’ setting allows to set up a maximum file size for free download - from 400 MB up to 1.2GB. Please note that this setting won’t work if ‘Premium Only -Set for all files’ option is enabled.

3. ‘Captcha’ setting allows to set up parameters for captcha displaying ( 5 alternatives are available) for your file downloads.

4. ‘Delay Timer’ setting is responsible for the time value before a file for download becomes ready (from 30 up to 90 seconds).

5. ‘Waiting Between Files’ option helps to specify waiting time between downloads - you can set up a value from 100MB/30 min to 100MB/90 min.

6. ‘Premium Settings’ option allows to enable/disable two premium plans for your files - 5-day plan and 730-day one.

You can see that a number of settings is not that large, however they allow to control all required parameters for downloads. We are sure these options will help lots of our partners to achieve better results (much higher that could have been achieved with other file hostings). No other file hosting offers such flexible options, thus we are really glad to be the first hosting with such a powerful tool! What is more, these are not the final settings, we plan to add more flexible options for download and payment pages.

Once again we would like to ask our partners to use the settings carefully and responsibly. Do not post the files with tough restrictions to the popular public forums and blogs. If we discover any misuse of these options, we will have to take serious measures!

yes as jimbo-53 told making premium only option can result in ban on forums. its better to give this option for domain owners only.

 

which is why I don't think it should exist at all.... I can understand the max file size as well... bandwidth is expensive... but no downloads for free-users is purely sharing warez for money - I share for the fun of sharing. I upload to a few non-paying hosts...

So does this mean that ALL this options will be only for registered domain sites (sites under the "Websites" option)?

Are we allowed to have two accounts registered at filepost - second one not self-reffered, of course?

 

That is why by default these options work for the files shared at verified sites only. Thus if a site owner wants to make the files on his site premium only, he can do that.

All other requests from other partners will be processed manually.
