''There is only one resaon why we deny or decline Reward payments.'' and only lists 'mirror files between FileFactory and other file hosts'. Which is why the reason payment declined because of DMCA blow me off, as all they did was remove the files.
Hi Guys, I'm glad that most of you have now been paid - if anybody hasn't you should have received a personal email from me discussing the issue rather than an automatic declined response, but if not please let me know. I might open a new thread later, I want to start smaller though and make sure that you're all happy before doing so, to enable us to avoid the same issues that the last thread experienced.
Hey, i'm a lil bit confused I got my money from 1Xth Oct 2010 But not from 04th Nov 2010 So again today i got my money from 11th Nov 2010 I think FF only wanted to save the money from one payout =/
I've been paid this week, but the last week payment not payment , they support for my email, " Hi, Sorry for the delay in replying. I have been working to get your re-Processed trước declined payment. This has now been done, and you should have received it by now. " I'm waiting for payment on November 8 , and I will let you know about it. Have a good day for all !!!
Thanks for reversing my declined payment. I'll continue to use filefactory. However, will the TU ever comeback??? Its been down for so long. I havent been able to upload any new stuff for about a month now. - Error adding torrent (Request was invalid. 409 Response was not received (0)) - b

Hi guys, I'm glad that most of you seem to be a bit happier now. I'll continue working through any pending declined payments, etc, until everything is resolved. The torrent uploader is being worked on. The "409 Response" error should have been resolved this morning (please let me know if it's still happening), but there is still an intermittent problem with the upload process. I've increased the priority of getting this fix out the door now, hopefully it won't be too much longer. Thanks for working with me, being patient and allowing me to fix these issues for you. It's appreciated.
More and more of my users are complaining about "Slots busy - retry later". I absolutely appreciate the fact that free users need to be converted to premium members in some form and this seems to be a good way.. But if they get this all the time, then no one is going to download from me.. Please look into this.. Thanks
That error means that the server load is too high, and that's normally caused by there being too many simultaneous downloaders at any given time. We've been progressively replacing our old download servers with new fast ones, and some more are being deployed today, actually, so you should begin seeing less of these errors again over the next few days. We're always looking for ways to speed things up - now that we've got more powerful servers in our download cluster we may be able to raise the load limits a bit. Sorry for the inconvenience this is causing your users, please let them know that we're actively working on the issue.
I get Upload error (504) when uploading via flash based browser upload method, but in file manager i see that uploaded file there. is this error normal ? thanks
Hi dkp, No, that's not normal - are you able to let me know what the file name was that didn't upload properly? And, if you could, let me know if the file did actually upload correctly, or if it only partially uploaded?
@FileFactory: So my ticket seems to be deleted or closed, it also seems your whole HelpDesk System was deleted? My payment from 6th November is still declined (with no DMCA Files in my account), but my never payment was approved now. So there was some improvements i mentioned already in the other Thread: - Translate your Website to other languages, to gain more sales from foreign Users. - Fix the ref-tracking issue, sales are often not assigned correctly, sales after Freedownload with Downloadmanager are not assigned. - Lower the reward-rates and remove rule 5 (to gain more honest users instead of cheating users) What do you say? regards ben
That file is uploaded correctly with no change in file size from original (not partially uploaded), i think its a misleading error during uploads otherwise all fine
@benjoo: We've switched to a new helpdesk - a bulk email was sent out to all pending tickets from the old one, and I apologize if you didn't receive it. You may have just logged a reply as it was sent and missed out. If you forward your old email to I will receive it again and handle it. Regarding your points: - The site is currently translated into Japanese (as this is where a huge portion of our market was at one point). We plan on adding more translations in the near future, but we're launching our new features first so that we don't have chunks of text missing translations. - If somebody downloads your files through the website or follows your referral link, they will be linked to your account automatically if they purchase a Premium membership within the next 24 hours. If they use something like JDownloader or any other third party download program, there's no way to set a cookie into their browser to track them. This is another unfortunate downside of people using these applications. Purchasing a membership through the links in the application will associate them with JDownloader's account. If you have an example that can demonstrate a way that we're not tracking referrals when we should, please send it through in an email and I'll get it investigated ASAP. It makes our life easier when all referrals are linked correctly because then it shows how many sales each member is generating. - This is something we can look into, but as we've said (poorly) in the past, we want to work with uploaders and establish relationships with them, we don't just want people to host with us, get paid, and move on. The positive aspect of rule #5 is that if an uploader is happy with our service, they will stick with us, and then everybody benefits. We like to open up dialog with our members and work with them mutually to improve our service, rather than simply being 'another file hosting website'. I hope those answers satisfy your questions, but if not please let me know. If you could re-send your email, I'll follow up the payment issue for you. @dkp: Oh great, things could have been worse then! Thanks for letting me know - I'll forward this information onto the engineers.
As ffs mentioned in previous thread starting a sales only plan along with current plan is very useful as it will help to attract uploaders of other hosting sites to filefactory. Rule #5 helps to bring exclusive ff uploaders & elimination of rule #5 can benefit people who only need commission when sales are made so Filefactory need not worry whether mirroring issue will affect premium sales. What about uploaders who got 1 or 2 DMCA notices in their account will their payment be rejected due to this reason ? Thanks
@FileFactory Thank you for answer, i have resend the query to your mailadress. - I am glad to hear about your plans to translate the website to other languages. This is missed by really lot's of our users and is one of the major issues, people don't register with Filefactory over here. If you need any help in translating into german or reread for error correction feel free to contact me, if this can speed up the process - There is no real Problem to assign sales after Freedownloads with Downloadmanagers like jDownloader or Cryptload. This works well with all other hosters too: Simply assign the IP of the sale with the list of IPs in the database of recently downloaded files. You got an IP from the sale and you can simply search the database, which file was recently (for example within the last 30 or 60 minutes) downloaded from this IP ... et voila: you find the account, which causes the user to purchase. It is just simple as that: just an simple SQL-Query, 2 or 3 lines of code worth. - Your cookies to track the sales seems to be blocked by many browsers automaticially. Maybe you have to use session-cookies instead. I have refered some of my pals using the ref-link some times ago, but nothing was counted. As i said already before: i never mentioned that, couse for my understanding you are paying more than enough for the downloads. But if i get told, that you are declining payments couse of no counted referals, it became to make a serious sense. - I understand your opinion to establish a long lasting relationship with uploaders. But you have to face the competition with other Hosters, instead trying to establish a niche market for you own. You have to see the Leecher's need's: they want an universal usable account. An account which is useful on many sites as well. They don't want an account usable only on exclusively sites or even exlusivley uploaders, the market you are in business don't works like that. I am sure, FF could be bigger already, if this nonsense rule won't exist and the real intressting uploaders has had supported filefactory as well. Lower the reward-rates and get through the competition, will get you serious with the honest users and will push FF more than you believe now. regards ben
How about do you get payment if you complain here? I am declined as that DMCA eamil too, I googled to here, and I send email as requiremnet but FF didn't reply and do not pay. I want to know how can I get my payment?
