File transferring problems

Im trying to transfer 40 files from my old server to dreamhost. On the whole they are around 400 mb so 10mb each and im using Flashfxp. But whenever i transfer it almost gets over then it gets disconnected and then it connects again and its asks whether i want to rewrite the file and this keeps on hapning. Please help!

 

Y Dont u use wget to transfer the files i think thats a better option

 

i just googled it. Couldnt really get it . It would be great if you can gimme the link where i can download this file from and this is like a ftp right?

when i say i couldnt really get it i mean couldnt figure what exactly to download, thought ill just add that

 

wget is a command in ssh

Why don't u just download with ftp, then upload again? If it gets disconnected, its max 10 mb you lose.

 

Do you have SSH access? A good way to go about it login to your new server then FTP to your old server and download the files that way.
