Generally how much would it cost to setup a file host and pay for hosting each month? or is anyone selling any established sites?

    Hello,

The best option would be to start out with a VPS... We have some cheap VPS solution.. http://vt16.com/vps/

You could always start out with a shared solution and upgrade as you use :)

    Thanks,
    Freddy

I would suggest you to start with a shared hosting that provide enough space and bandwidth, however check with the hosting company if their ToS allows you to run a file hosting site.

As you grow you can plan VPS or dedicated servers.

I would agree with rllunzmann, start with the shared hosting and see where it takes you. The hardest thing you will run into though is finding someone with decent speed, because people won't use slow file sites no matter how large the limits are.
