I am attempting to start a directory but am having trouble figuring out how set file permissions. The readme file states: I am using Dreamweaver MX for my FTP client and host on dreamhost. If you can help me, I'd appreciate it.
Dreamweaver FTP is not the great in my opinion. I like this one and like most ftp clients it allows you to change file permisions. http://filezilla.sourceforge.net/
