Excellent domain name.

I envision a news media / social networking web site for boxing, mma, wrestling, ect.

I wouldn't even know where to begin appraising this one, but it's definitely good!

Wow! Great name for a game site! Even more surprising is that it wasn't regged until 2000. I can't believe that one survived the nineties.

 

Yeah I agree that it's an excellent domain.

Probably you would make more, and easier money doing some kind of gaming related site.

If you do a martial arts related site with it, I'de like to trade links because that's my niche (although I'm overhauling EVERYTHING right now).

Ok, if I had this domain . . .

I wouldn't sell it. I would develop it or find someone to develop it for me. The site is incredibly brandable I think.

I would look for a company that's doing online sports betting/gambling, and run the site as an info site (fighters profiles, records, interviews, etc.) covering an affiliate program, or with a domain like this, you could probably private label somebody elses program.

Then I would sit back and earn a commission off of people betting online on UFC/Pride, etc.

Oh, and I'de send shoemoney a tshirt to get some free exposure and traffic, because he seems to like the mma stuff.

This is a basic simple diagram of how it would look:

So basically I would set up a front end with the different fighters profiles, stats, public use interviews, youtube video clips of their past fights, etc.

Then behind that, I would create a forum, user blogs (easily can do this with Joomla), extended profiles, etc. for web 2.0 style stickyness and to generate extra free content related to every fighter and every fight for you.

And I would monetize it with online betting on the fights, find an affiliate program to get a cut of pay per view (so you can remind your list everytime there's a ppv coming up and get a cut), and maybe some training stuff for hobbyists and wannabes.

If I had this domain or one that was comparable, I'de make a sh*t ton of money.

 

I see you are in China. Is 拳击手.com (or 拳擊手.com) any good (boxer)?

战斗机.net (xn--3nut1f69a.net) is available to register (fighter, as in aircraft).

 

I don't know. If I were going for chinese traffic, I would just get a .cn domain. Good luck getting the domain configured, though.

 

You seemed jazzed about the fighter genre. Just trying to help anyone reading this post. The dot cn extensions on those are open, too.

Last thing I need is more Chinese language domains...

Are you trying to sell it? If so, put it up for auction at a price you would take and see what happens. If it doesn't sell here, try other forums. That is the best way to tell what it is really worth.
