Directories are flooding these days and I also got a few of them. I just wonder how many of these directories review submitted site manually and filter out spam site? At least I could say that from the beginning till now, I have never included spam or MFA blogs in my directory and I am proud of that. For other directory owners, how do you monitor submitted contents? What policies do you have in place to maintain the quality of your directory?

With free directories it is a major problem and sometimes for repeating offenders we block their IP Address

Regarding policies it is best to post that information in the submission guidelines

There is no easy way to stop these type of submittals

It is a battle that you have to keep on top of, the easiest control is to effect a paid only listing policy
