ffmpeg with localhost

Is it possible install ffmpeg in my localhost? I had search through DP forum, there are lots of ffmpeg thread but no one mention bout localhost, i am currently develop in localhost before moving to live.

So, is it possible to install in localhost?

It should be possible, but it depends on your system. Are you working on linux, windows .. ?
