If you want to start a video upload website you need new technologies such as: ffmpeg, mencoder, mplayer, flvtool2. Anyone knows which hosting providers are the best out there?
    Cheers

    Try www.infrenion.com.
I havent used them but they seem good. Further if you have a dedicated server or vps you can install them yourself.

I would imagine you'll need quite a bit of bandwidth for this type of website. If you're in the market for a dedicated server, consider a company like fdcservers.net, pooled.net, or 10tb.com. They all have huge plans.

Yeah I'm looking for a shared hosting plan to start up with. And it's gotta lots of bandwidth and fast loading time. Found this one called hosting-marketers .com . Anyone have any experience with those.

Since you'll actually be using your web space and bandwidth, I would go with a web host that does not oversell. That should remove future complications!

You also need cpu power to convert the videos.

Here's a list of web hosts who offer ffmpeg hosting plans.
Most provide shared, semidedicated and vps plans.
