well i got another issue.... another friend works as a model for a local magazine..... ---- http://www.shoppingfriends.co.uk/FFError/ separate page now: 1st issue... In IE, the side images appear but dont fit to 100% height of the window. 2nd issue... They dont even appear in FF ---- . . . . . . . . but she likes girls....
Internet Explorer should annoy you because Firefox is W3C compliant. IE is NOT. Microsoft defines their own standards. I always optimize for FF, because I don't accept the behaviour of Microsoft.
basically i want the shadow bits (#left-shadow and #right-shadow), to fit to 100% of the content down each side
OK... remove the left and right divs from the html... <html> <head> <title></title> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="main.css" /> </head> <body> <div id="all"> <div class="middle"> SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol SEBasic is my Idol </div> </div> </body> </html> Code (markup): Make a new image for the drop shadow that includes the left and right drop, then use this to style the new middle class .middle{ position:relative; width:430px; background-image: url(http://www.shoppingfriends.co.uk/FFError/NEW-BACKGROUND-IMAGE.gif); background-repeat: repeat-y; padding-left: 10px; padding-right: 10px; } Code (markup): let me know if that made sense...
Yeah... It's the "right" way to do it... No point in having an empty div that simply holds a background image...
Haha... Erm....... I guess softalien.com could do with a couple more links... That would be cool. Thanks mate. <a href="http://www.softalien.com/">Blog News</a> Thanks
