I don't believe that having adsense ads is penalized in google search. I don't believe it because I know it's not true.

There is no connection between the two. Google adsense isn't looked at when it comes to how you rank in google. Actually, sometimes when I do a google search the top result is sometimes a blank page with 3 google ads blocks and a google ad link. If your rank was affected by your adsense these sites would never make it to number 1. It would also be stupid for google to penalize sites using google adsense seeing how adsense is how google makes their money. So if none of the top sites in google had adsense on them how is google going to make their money? Think about what you're saying it doesn't make much sense.

Ads are on javascript mostly.... which doesn't count in serp! So no direct relation!

There is no connection bt ads and google SERP, only thing that happens when u put too many ads is a page is that, the load time of ur page increase, which has a very little affect on SERP

If Google considers the ads as some external links, it really may hurt the rankings.

i agree, my pages without google ads do better with serps, of course google knows most pages with adsense on them are mainly "for profit", and therefore do not rank them as high. Pages with ads as secondary content tend to get hurt, but I believe that is what makes google a great search engine versus the other SE's (weed out the garbage).

thats absolutley not true, i have added adsense to my site and improved backlinks and my serp went up not down, google adsense has nothing to do with your serp . maybe your competition just steped up

um, you just joined this forum a few days ago? please... learn something about the internet before posting something like that, o.k.?

of course, it could be true if you are an mfa'er with crap sites that only have ads, no content, you will get penalized.

Is it me or are there one or two brainless people in this thread?
The people here who have some basic knowledge of the internet will know who I mean :)
farhajr just put a couple of adds on your site, why go crazy with lots of them?
I always put 1 add on each page as soon as the site is created and my sites do ok with ranking and earnings.

LMAO. Funny thread. The article you refer to makes no sense. First of all, he only used top searches and only looked at one factor. Major sites usually have much bigger contracts with ad companies and therefore don't need contextual advertising. They have massive amounts of content and therefore rank very high. Content is king, remember that. Stop focusing and wasting time on ads. Create thousands of pages of good content first, worry about ads next.
