Obviously if you have little content it will be difficult to get good rankings, although I don't think that having adsense on your site will hurt it in the SERPs

google ad doesn;t have anything to do with SERP. you might have a site filled with unique contents nad have multiple adsense ads on it and still have good ranking in google.

i dont think thats true, there is no corelation between adsense and content. as long as you have good quality content you'll get better SERP

i think its just a myth

There is no relation between cpc ads and serp rankings

But affiliate links do affect serp rankings, that too if in too many numbers on a page and very less content

Ads has nothing to do with SERP. Do you have any link to that article from where you got this information?

Fewer Adsense block doesn't have any relations with SERP.
To my experience, fewer blocks of ads (maximum 2 ads block per page) do increase the CPC.

Yes, let Google index that first your website with content that targeted to keywords you want. Once it's got indexed, then adsense code will recognize from their fellow crawlers, and serve you with related ads.

I created a site 2 weeks ago I have 3 google ad sizes and 1 google link on most pages and my site is indexed pretty well for only 2 weeks old. That is a myth I wouldn't believe it.

This is a perfect example of using statistics to tell a story that makes entirely no sense...

Why would Google penalize people with AdSense ads? If anything, Google would want to raise the SERP of sites with AdSense and penalize sites that don't use it.

Why? If Google sends traffic to a site with AdSense, people are more likely to click on AdSense ads. Google gets revenue.

If Google diverts traffic away from sites with AdSense, it is shooting itself in the foot and lowering its own revenue.

Here's a more likely story to explain the statistics.

Anyone can create a site with AdSense. Many of these sites are poorly designed with little or not content and lack optimal seo strategies (like keyword density).

By contrast, a site that uses another ad provider (i.e. selling its own banners, or some such thing) is likely to have greater traffic, be better designed, have more backlinks, and therefore appear higher in the rankings.

Statistics are simply a story waiting to be spun. Never believe the story if it doesn't make sense - because those stats can be used to tell just about whatever you want.

    - Walkere

PS: Doesn't make a difference when you put AdSense articles in. I put them in as soon as I upload a site so that I can test out their placement.

If Google doesn't hasn't crawled the site to determine the right keywords, they'll display public service ads. This never seems to have hurt a site I put up.

if that's the case then why the heck my website went away from the rankings that is the case that i had added ads to it and then found that report. that's why i agreed to that!!

Rankings go up and down all the time especially if it's a newer site. There can't be lots of variables which would cause your rank to drop. Don't believe everything you read though because there is a lot of crap on the internet.

I don't get your question really but newer sites don't hold as much weight as older sites. So the newer your site is the more the ranks are going to change sometimes it will be for the better sometimes it will be for the worse.

google.com often puts up to 11 or more ads on one page of search results... and you are telling us that we'll be penalized for doing exactly what google does? rubbish.
