I have some questions about this and hopefully someone could help me . 1. Any clickable link is considered as Backlink ? It should be www.example.com or It should have text ? I mean IT shows "Here" as text and once you click it , It goes to Example.com . Or it simply doesn't matter ? 2. When you say that Backlink helps getting ranked , should backlink be the BLOG post URL for example which means It's going to help that blog post only to rank or It should be the URL of the blog itself ? and It's going to rank the blog (all of it) ? thank you for your help !
When you put the text "Here" for a link, it will work as a keyword, which directs to your site, so its always better to put that text inside of just posting your site URL. If that link from other site is directed to your inner page and not the homepage, then you will get (whatever) additional juice or advantage for that page and not the complete blog or site. However, if you keep building up your inner pages, overall it will also help you complete blog and the homepage.
You should randomize your backlink's anchors: use URLs, keywords, texts like "Read more"/"Here"/etc in anchors.
Thanks for answers , both of you. So basically It's better to put a text on the link and it's also better to link people to blog posts instead of the homepage ? thanks again guys.
Mix it up...Every link should not point to just one page.... Mix everything up, brand name, generic, naked urls, etc... people tend to get penalized by using the same old money keywords to their site, use less money keywords, and more of everything else.... do not keep using the same keywords over, and over to the same page.... If you use a keyword to your home page, then use another keyword to page1, then another keyword to page2, more is not always better, keep it all balanced.... If you do not have a huge link profolio, then I would go with 25% LSI, and 75% Generic, Naked, etc, and spread them over multiple urls.... Lets say you are promoting 5 keywords: url1: http://www.mydomain.com url2: http://www.mydomain.com/blog url3: http://www.mydomain.com/blog-post-one/ and so on.... (Anchor Text) 1: My Brand Name 2: Click Here 3: www.mydomain.com 4: mydomain.com 5: Money Keyword Then switch it up on next campaign: 1: My Brand Name 2: Read More 3: http://www.mydomain.com 4: www.mydomain.com/ 5: money keyword This way, you will not over optimize your money keyword, however, people tend to be desperate, and greedy, so they will pack their keywords will all money keywords, then several months later, they end up getting penalized....
yup! use variation of your anchor text, don't focus on your money keywords, - use 60% brand 20% naked 10% money keywords 10% general keywords ( click here, register etc ) that way it's will look natural.
I suggest that you read this instead, and hope it helps you to know more about backlinks, http://www.seomark.co.uk/high-quality-backlinks/
Please note that google has updated the backlinks and no longer are backlinks worth much, people bought and abused the backlink system so google really does not care about it anymore, the only backlink you should care about is one that is in your field, so if you are a farmer, you need to have a backlink from the same industry if you have your links on stuff unrelated to your industry google spits it out. Backlinking was abused google has corrected it and penalized people who bought backlinks.
