1.Keep the length of title in a page within 64 characters. Avoid using Common words in title like 'in','of','the','on' etc. 2.Your main keyword should be used first in the tile if possible. The more later you uses it, it loses some value. 3.Try to use symbols like '|' ,'&','/' for better clarity in title,avoid using company url in the title. 4.Always include your main keyword in <h1> tag. 5.Use unique title and meta description in each page . Though meta description does not hold any SEO values, yet they are used in Search results, so using proper and attention catcher meta description tag will surely improve your CTR rate. 6.Make sure that the important inner pages will be reachable within very less number of clicks from your home page. This will have a positive impact on Search Spiders as well as end users. 7.Breadcrumb navigation is a good practice to follow as Navigation standard in Onpage factors. 8.Use meaning anchor text for internal site navigation . Make sure that the inner pages need just 1 link to reach Home Page. 9.Keep the number of internal links within 100 max. 10.Don't forget to add <rel='no follow'> tag to unimportant links in pages. 11. 1.All the links in the inner pages both in the left navigation bar and in the menu use both 'non-www' and 'www' version of linking, changing them to a single 'www' version would prevent internal duplication and thereby uniform URL structure would be implemented throughout the website. 2.Add descriptive 'alt' attributes for the images based on targeted the keywords.

I do make use of alt tags. They seem to have a good effect on serps. Especially when your website has many images and few text. Although it won't make miracles, it will help, from the overall view.
