Few AdWords questions

I'm hoping your guys advice will be able to help me out with a few questions that I had in regards to AdWords:

    1) Do you normally default max CPC? When would you override the max cpc on a per keyword basis?

    2) Can the display URL be different from the linked URL? What about when you're doing something like an affiliate campaign which redirects to the display URL?

    3) If I'm bidding on "computer repair" (phrase match), should I even both bidding on something like "florida computer repair"? This is in regards to a local business, so we're only targeting 15 miles outside of our headquarters.

    1. that really depends on your campaign and budget
    2. it can be different but you cannot put any affiliate link as a landing page. display url and landing page url has to be on the same domain
    3. you can either do exact keyword match or broad match, add florida if you want or minus (-) any other keyword you don;t want

@1. Is there some sort of general rule though? I have read that you should never look at it from that granular of a level in terms of per keyword...but on some of my campaigns for my business I don't see how that would be possible.

@2. I meant to write can it be different domains, sorry. So something like amazon affiliate link would work because it has the same domain in it, right? As long as there isn't another Amazon.com for the same keyword...?

@3. That didn't really explain to me...The way I see it, if you do keyword match "computer repair" (right?), wouldn't it come up under a search for florida computer repair anyway since it has the keywords in order in the paid term?

I also wanted to add another question. Say I want my ad to have the word iPod in it. The product I'm selling is made for an iPod, but the word iPod is trademarked. In this case, should I be asking for an exclusion? Or do I need to figure out how to do the copy without iPod in it?
