But no proof? Just an allegation? Those poor terrorists can't get a fair shake, can they Briant? Do you have a tender spot in your backside for them?
Because originally Iran gave coordinates that conclusively proved they were in violation and captured them in Iraqi waters. Then later revised the coordinates, when they discovered they proved they were wrong. I wonder how come no one comes rushing over to report this? Not only that, but Iran also initially stated they would not "parade" around the soldiers on TV, but have since gone back on that committment and done so. Yet no one rushed over to report this. Iran must be rewarded for doing something wrong
I take issue with both allegations. If someone is accused of a crime, I want to see evidence collected and see them tried for it. And I honestly don't see how the kidnappings in either camps are brooked. I can see taking prisoners (when possible) rather than killing people when there is armed conflict, or detaining people you witnessed committing a crime, and taking them to the proper authorities in that country, and my above statement should not be inferred to mean that I am against prisoners in such a context.
As a quick note, I am not accusing the people that placed prisoners in Guantanamo Bay of kidnapping. I have yet to see sufficient data for any such claim to be made. I'm just saying that kidnapping foreign nationals is generally wrong.
That liberal Cheney... http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/nationworld/2003323549_cheney26.html http://www.csmonitor.com/2006/1026/dailyUpdate.html "Waterboarding involves holding "a person's head under water or pouring water on cloth or cellophane placed over the nose and mouth to simulate drowning until the subject agrees to talk or confess. ABCNews reported last year that it began as a practice in the 1500s during the Italian Inquisition. Soldiers who had used it during US conflicts in the 20th century have been court-martialed. It was declared illegal by US generals during the Vietnam War." I have a suspicion you guys keep demanding proof, even though I have given sources quoting the FBI, because you want me to put up more picture of naked Iraqi's. Well i'm not gonna do it. Not right now anyway
You've only provided allegations, nothing more. However, it would not surprise me if you gave your integrity to me again by dishonestly posting pictures for which people were prosecuted over and attempt to claim they were from another facility. That's what dishonest people do, right Briant? Are you running out of excuses to make the US and the UK look bad for Iran illegally capturing their soldiers? Looks like it to me. Or do you have some more excuses on why this isn't Iran's fault?
At least the Iranians didn't abduct members of a diplomatic mission. http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/na...jan12,0,6436612.story?coll=bal-iraq-headlines The whole point is, "what comes around goes around." And the UK better just hope the Iranians are better behaved than the US has been vis-a-vis detainees.
Oh please, is that a real question? or a cheap way to get out of the frying pan? Now back to a real question:
Where did USA detain these people Iran? Did the USA take a trip into Iran kidnap, then go back to Iraq, then state they were captured in Iraq?
They were in Iraq, where they were supposed to be. http://www.middle-east-online.com/english/?id=18922 As for the British, you have to wonder why their government would have them near a disputed area anyway. I sure they were keeping Iraq safe
If you were being held by a bunch of terrorists for no reason, would you do what they told you to do, or would you say what you wanted??
Exactly, they were detained by the US in Iraq, not the UK, there was no kidnap, no nipping into another countries waters or over the border, so comparing the two is like comparing apples & oranges. Disputed area? they were in Iraqi waters, confirmed by the UK/USA & Iran lol
Terrorists? Irani officials are terrorists now too? heheh. I don't know what i'd do as i'm not a soldier, but there's noone captured by terrorists here, we're not talking about former Iraqi officials. These people were captured by officials, and these aren't "supermarket hostages" they are soldiers of a big country and as soldiers have dignity they never talk that way unless it's true no matter what the conditions are. Now if the captured says so and you still think it's a lie, when you see an undeniable proof you'd probably say "that doesn't show anything" either. Sometimes you can be mistaken and it'd big of you to accept it. But if you still hold on to a mistake instead of accepting truth, it's your choice.
News coming in from BBC Newsnight............... These people that were captured were still armed with their SA80s (standard British Army rifles.) The helecoter giving them overhead cover was running low on fuel so it went back to HMS Cornwall. I smell a rat here.
False Flag! Again! Will those alien illuminati lizards from draco never get a mission right? Retards.
