Feeding partial blog article to readers

When my readers checks for new articles from my blog using RSS, the unread articles are automatically published to my readers in its entirety. So, I have loyal readers but they are not visiting my site.

How do I provide the readers with partial article so that if they are interested, they can click on a link and get the entire article from my site? I'm using WordPress.

There's an option in the admin interface under Options -> Reading -> Syndication Feeds called 'For each article, show:'. Select 'Summary' here and that'll do it.

I'm no so sure that allowing them to read a whole article is a bad thing. I subscribe to a number of feeds, allowing me to quickly read all my blogs. If I normally find myself going to the particular blog to comment. Before I had feeds, I didn't go to as many blogs becasue of time restrictions.

Thanks for the insight. However, after the 1st day of change, I'm seeing a slightly higher traffic to my blog. Let me monitor for a few days and see if this change has indeed increased my traffic or otherwise. :)
