So you ask me what am I talking about feeding google? Do you mean rss feed? Not really. I mean there is two easy steps in getting a google pr 1+ in less then 30 days. I'm living proof. Let me just say it: Somewhat Niched Wordpress Blog And a bunch of unique/quality content I started a programming and technology blog in december about something I loved, but at the same time I wanted to make money for it. (Which I will as I plan on flipping this blog) So on Dec 4th I told my self I would post an article everyday. I kept feeding my blog with articles everyday I have over 30 articles on my blog. I promoted each to basic social bookmarketing sites not much traffic, but this still is an experiment so after the month basically passed I checked its page rank and I have a page rank 4. Really wow? In a month? The domain was freshly bought in Dec 2008 Jan 09 checked PR and there it was. So its quite simple, blog ALOT. Try writing articles before your submit them, I'd say start off with two articles submit 1 the first day save one for the next day and write one the same day you submit the second one and so on so you have an article the next day ready instead of trying to force yourself to think of a topic. I learned that the hard way on my blog ^ yet at the same time I would not have learned that if I never forced myself into doing that simple process. Hope this helps people. Lamonte @ PennyQuotes.net
Sorry but I think this post is misleading. Other people may read this and expect great results by just posting on their blog everyday. This rarely is the case. Most blogs get posted on for months with very few people knowing the blog even exists. A blog needs very good content to naturally get a PR4 in only 1 month. Even so, most blogs still need some link building to get any decent search engine rankings.
Well submitting to social networking sites, digg, stumbleupon, etc., and actually writing unique content yourself everyday on a very specific topic.... Yeah, I'd say you'd rise in the ranks pretty quickly.
Props to you Demonic! I would also like to point out that you purchased an existing website. It may have already had a few backlinks. Generally, I have found that my websites take two PR updates before I ever get any PR. Also, you may have recieved a couple of high quality backlinks from your social networking marketing. vansterdam is right in the sense that not all people can be guaranteed this. At the same time, its one of the reasons you should do social networking on blogs. You want the chance of having your content linked to from other popular blog owners who currently don't know about you.
well, congratulation for that pr4... but, how much traffic (unique visitor) that site received per day? See here: http://www.alexa.com/data/details/traffic_details/binarycrunch.com and remember, pr is only important for selling links. Traffic is more important to bring conversion.
