I've been meaning to switch my RSS feed to FeedBurner for a while so that I could get some better stats. I've always been put off thinking I'd lose subscribers by changing the feed URL.

It turns out I was totally wrong and there is a great FeedBurner plugin that does all the work for me so that existing subscribers won't notice the difference and I get pretty stats. I should of done this ages ago  .

Nice find DCT. Quick question, is better stats the primary advantage to switching feeds to feedburner? I'm sort of lost in that area, I know mine get hit alot but other than stats what does switching buy me? Thanks

Stats was my primary reason but it also saves a fair amount of resources as all readers will be downloading the feed from FeedBurner rather than your site. FeedBurner also offer another revenue stream which I'll be applying for.
