I am currently having an rss-feed with (Dutch) news items (http://www.vanderhovenss.be/rss.xml). But i am thinking of moving it to Feedburner, so that i can easily have decent tracking information for my feed. The problem is that the url (domain) changes. That is not a technical problem of course, but a search engine optimization problem. In the feedburner forums they recommend redirecting the url (temp nog permanently). Now the problem is: - my old rss feed dissappears from the index and a new one has to enter - the domain of the rss feed changes, so i loose credit for my own rss feed - i get some links back from my own rss feed (from the feedburner domain) (no problem of course, just something to be aware of) - what if Feedburner stops it's free services some time? There doesn't seem an alternative instead of doing the stats myself. But i'm not really aware of a free tracker for rss-feeds (i use webalizer for the normal stats). What would you guys suggets in a seo point of view? thanx in advance, Vanderhoven Nick
