Are there any sites similar to Feedburner that do the same job? Feedburner has been inconsistent for me so I was wondering if there was an alternative.

Well it is not really Feedburner that is the problem. The amount of the RSS readers of my site changes daily, apparently this is due to the Feed Readers such as FireFox Live Bookmarks, Google Feed fetcher etc. I would recommend you use it, its good and has many features, however the number of readers will seem to go up and down everyday. However, when you get hundreds/thousands you wont notice small drops
