Feedburner accounts moving to Google

Discussion in 'Google' started by svajdlenka, Jan 19, 2009.

I am using for my blog Feedburner service. I was really surprised, when I checked my stats today, that there is possibility to move feeds to Google account. I am doing it now. Did Google buy Feedburner service? If yes, than it looks like that Google is going to buy all interesting internet services.

I thought Google already owned Feedburner or it was a Google service ??? Do we have to do anything if we're already using Feedburner ?

Google brought the Feeburner few YEARS AGO !!! :D
And Feedburner is using Google servers to server the feed services, thats why feedburner is so popular and trusted [atleast for uptime ]

It is new info for me. I have never hear that google owns feedburner before. But it must be true, because now after transfer of my accounts, they are on google pages and feedburner I have as Google service.

Just like Google brought the Double Click, Double click is one of the oldest and one of the best advertising firm.
Many other ad companies were using double clicks service for serving best ads. but now its owned by Google

    And it SUCKS!

Many friends are reporting problems after migrating their feeds over to the new Google site. Problems such as Feedburner bot not reading the blog anymore, the blog listing is completely gone after moving feed over to google, or that they've lost all their former feedburner email subscribers..

Me? I haven't even been able to move over my feeds from Feedburner to the new Google Feedburner, I just get error messages every time I try. :(

I might just abandon Feedburner completely and go back to the old RSS days with your own URL.

Feedburner was google already, I think

Havent you heard about Google's current financial situation. They recently closed parts of the company to save money. Although I think they are back on the up now.

    In 2007, actually.

    Nope, "only" for $100.

For those who have similar problems like above here is a response from the Feedburner team.
