    Here's my design http://seecmike.sitesled.com/recipe

The content is irrelevant so don't tell me "there isn't many recipes!" - i know.

The one thing i'm worried about is the blank area at the bottom. This isn't a problem for the longer pages, but the home page and some others have a huge white space. Is it a big deal?

I think you may use better design for this.

What? I don't really know what your saying... I think it's along the lines of "use another design" - that isn't exactly constructive feedback isit?

Well it's just for my portfolio, not specifically for use. I don't really want to put Advertisements on a portfolio piece. Ideally I'd like to centre the whole design so the white space will be split above and below the box. But this has thrown up a few fundamental errors and is just not feasible. I've included a screen shot for you Project Mobius :p

Well I just tried the design at 1024x768 (screenshot below), and it seems to fill the page ideally... Should I worry about larger resolutions?

wow i appreciate you taking the screenshots, i like it because its simple, yet not too simple. I wouldn't worry too much about larger resolutions i think 1024x768 is like the average (correct me if i'm wrong), used to be 800x600 though. :)

you COULD add a few pictures at the bottom, sort of like a photo gallery of food cooked using your recipes

Yeh, I did read somewhere that you should design sites for 1024x768, being the average. All the photo's have been taken from stock.xchng so i'm limited to the amount of pictures I can use. I don't want to reuse the same pictures accross the site.
And just to clarify, they aren't my recipes... I stole them for the purpose of the design :p My best recipe consists of beans and toast - i'm not the cooking type!

Thanks for the tips PM! :D
