Greetings, I am the CEO & Founder of Guardpost Online, a web hosting company that offers the same packages for both individuals and businesses, as well as web design and development, graphic design, online training and more. I have optimized my site for search engines, submitted it to as many as I could, opened a blog at Blogspot, opened a MySpace page, advertised on Craigslist and Facebook (advertisement expired). I'm getting visitors, but no actual customers. I can't figure out why. The price point is slightly higher than the lowest ones, but you get much more (with the added online training videos that cover more than just how to use your account, personal service (if you're in the NC area), and more. What would you suggest to get more visitors to the site? Thanks. Best Regards, Robert Alvord CEO & Founder, Guardpost Online
Robert, you have to build a lot of quality inbound links as the web hosting niche is really over saturated right now.
hire dedicated seo for full time basis and just review the update, i suggest agileinfoways dot com and kumbhdesign dot com having good seo experts
I have just been looking over your site. For some reason, the page never actually finishes loading. It looks like your site is brand new. As others have said, you need to get a lot of people to your site. Most won't sign up. That's just how it goes. The more people that visit the site, though, the more potential you have for signups. The rates and options seem fine. You might want to consider adding phone sales and support. That seems more important for a hosting service than most other online businesses because people want to be sure they can get in touch with you, even if they can't get to your web site, etc. Where are you in NC, btw? Good luck.
Thank you all for the feedback, so far. Mystikmedia, I appreciate your comments. I'm surprised the page doesn't load. I've tested it in 4 different browsers, from 3 different types of computers, and on several different networks. I wonder if something happened during a recent update. Anyway, I've been thinking about a 1-800 number for a while now. It would be good for our customers to have access to a person. Our Live Chat is the closest we've come and gives us and the customers a transcript, as well as a way to pass files back and forth, among other features. We're located in Holly Springs, NC. It's important to us to be able to support our local community, as well as our extended family around the globe.
Just to clarify, the page appears to display properly, but it just never stops trying to finish loading. Good luck with the rest!
That's good to know. It's likely the chat function that appears at the top of every page. If we're away from the terminal or offline, the graphic changes to something stating we're offline and that the visitor can leave a message. If we go back online, it changes again. We'll take a look at the code again.
Customer Service A good toll free number service that is full service is Kall8 or Freedomvoice. They are always there and very reasonable. I hope this helps!
a blog at Blogspot (is this some marketing technique?) Also check your packages they are too costly.... Have a look at other companies packages in your area. I think in a Hosting Business you should have very competitive prices.
It could be that you are targeting the wrong audience, using the wrong keywords.Have you tried a software called Golden Cash Compass? (goldencashcompass.com)
