Hi There, Good website, I get the point as lot of space has been left for different areas to breathe, but I feel too much space is wasted above the logo. Looking at the ads in the sidebar, all of them are less than half the size of the sidebar in width, more space can be given to content on the left I feel. Rest all looks good. All the best!
niravdave is right about the wasted space on the header. When you start looking at advertising your site on other sites you will encounter the term "above the fold". Basically stuff that is visible when the page first loads is considered prime real-estate and therefore commands a higher advertising dollar. So whether you are selling advertising or not it is worth noting that there is a reason why the first viewed space on a web page is so valuable. In many cases it determines whether or not your visitor looks any further or clicks on to some other site. Remember that there many mouses out there that have the "Back" button for the thumb. One quick little thumb click, little more than a twitch, and they are back on Google.
