Remove that "link exchange" link until you build some good link momentum for your website. Also, put a rel=nofollow on your site's FB link. FB is not reciprocating and link love back, so put that link condom on.

Product categories are empty -http://barkingstud.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=16_177. Fill these in with real content.

Site layout and design are good. So I think you should focus on quality SEO.

Design is ok, looks templat-ed, but OK. I have seen worst looking sites perform at a much higher order. Do not worry about design, but focus on building trust and trusted unique content (for Google bot).

I believe there is nothing wrong with your store design. If you are not making sales it means

    1. Your prices might be too high. You've probably already done this but make sure your prices are in line with your competitors. If you have movement to room, try lowering pricing.

    2. You're in a competitive industry. Pets is a massive and competitive industry. You're not only competing with loads of other online stores, but people can easily by pet products down the street. It's not uncommon for a new player in a big industry to have low conversion rates

    3. Your traffic might not be very targetted. Make sure you are getting traffic that is actually looking to buy. Try search advertising, SEO, advertising on pet forums or classifieds, and shopping comparison sites. Don't do banner ads, facebook ads, etc to start with.

    4. You aren't getting enough traffic. 20-40 page views is nothing. Thats probably only 5 people. If you have a conversion rate of 1%, it would take 20 days to make a sale. Get more traffic before you write this site off. Try the methods listed in point 3 above.

    Hope that helps!

Site looks good to me, product are OK as well. I just think that you're trying to open a storefront online and you think it's enough. But it's not enough, you must make some marketing, push your product on some marketplaces such as eBay, Amazon, Storenvy, Bootic ... use social network ...

The design, general site layout seems good, but 20-50 links is way not enough. No need to improve your design, focus on SEO; try building quality links, and developing trust now. There are many blogs outlining SEO, but personally i use www.promoteyoursites.net but simply search it on google. I am sure, once you get more traffic, you will start to get serious sales!

    Good luck!

How about some products, clicked three categories all empty, if you don't have it don't have anything in it don't display it. having loads of cats does not fool customers, they just get fed up and leave.

    Hello there

I'd really like tips on this one . I'm about to launch a very cool , professional classifieds website , really well designed . The challenge I'm facing is .. How do websites like this get their initial ads ? See websites like www.gumtree.com or olx.com , how did they go about getting their initial ads ? How do I start getting the very first ads on my classifieds website ? Is it possible to contact gumtree.com and see if I can put some of their ads on my site to help them sell fast ? How would I go about contacting them ?

My classifieds website will service a whole continent and I am dedicated to be patient and work very hard .. I'd really appreciate all the tips to get my first content and spread the site . I think once I get the first content , then it will be easy to continue marketing it ... Thanks a lot in advance.

Your website looks professional enough to make want to buy from it. but i haven't researched how your prices stack up against others in the same niche. so run some Google queries and test your prices against your competition. learn and do some SEO. if you dont think you can then hire a reputable SEO firm to do it for. Remember money makes money i.e you need to spend some money to make money. Spend it on Advertisement. SEO add a blog plugin to your website, that will get more pages listed in google also and when people search about say dog leads, they see your article in which you could place information about the product you are selling on your website in a subtle way. driving more repeat visits and potential sales
